Hello doctors , i received kenalog 10 on two hypertrophic scars on my chest. The scars seem to be flattening out but have developed a dark pigmentation over them. Is this normal? Will this fix itself with time?

You may have peeled off some skin or created an infection from an infected pore. It is hard to tell from the photographs. I would see a dermatologist in your area or a facial plastic surgeon.

Hi RH. Yes, Kanalog and other steroids can cause indentations if too much product is injected. The key it to get to the point where the bumpy scar is blanched but not over-inject after that point.
