Trying to get rid of this pink skin on my face. I got cut 6 days ago and I accidentally peeled the scab off while washing my face. Now I have this pink scar leftover. How do I make it go away?
Answer: Treatment of scars on the smile lines Stay conservative. I would use a combination of Plato's Scar Serum followed by pulsed dye laser if necessary.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon

Answer: Improving pink scar with lasers (Fraxel, ProYellow, Excel V, VBeam) and microneedling/prp This can be improved with a combination of lasers (Fraxel, ProYellow, Excel V, VBeam) and microneedling/prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: It's a Time for Healing... Thanks for your question and posting a picture. For only being 6 days old, this wound is healing really well. You are looking at brand new skin that probably just needs time for healing. More than likely, the pigment will return in the next 1-4 weeks on its own. If the pigment comes back darker, it's post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and would be easily and safely treated with PicoSure FOCUS. It is safe for all skin types and is FDA Approved for hyperpigmentation, acne scars, surgical scars and stretch marks. If the healed skin comes back lighter, it is hypopigmentation and it is a little more difficult to treat without some trial and error. We would maybe try the FOCUS treatment or a fractional 1540 nm to stimulate skin regeneration. In the meantime, let it heal. Come up with an interesting story about what caused it and wait. Best of luck.
