I don't think your eyes look sad. that can happen if the lateral corner has been moved down, but your corner looks fine. Do you think you look sad?? Never good idea to listen to other's comments.
Eyes can look "sad" after eyelid surgery if the lower lid sags a bit. I do not see that in the photographs provided.
