There are many types, styles, projections and fills of implants available for patients. The variety of choices creates a great deal of confusion for patients and plastic surgeons. "Full" profile usually refers to the height (up and down measurement) of a specific tear drop shaped device that is not recommended now because of its textured coating. "Profile" refers to the projection (from back to front). I would recommend that you discuss this confusing topic in detail with your surgeon prior to your surgery. It is my opinion that the description and classification of implants is so confusing that the surgeon should help you make the best decision for the implant used.
