PS is recommending ssx 400. I am 5'4" and 120lbs. Small frame minimal breast tissue A cup. I want a full natural mid c. To look as natural as possible and avoid the round fake appearance. I'm concerned about the extra high projection looking fake. I've requested ssf at which point he said I would have to use 385 vs 415 as 400 is my max. Ideally it would be nice if it is barely noticeable that I have had an augmentation. Also worried about the left one being slightly smaller
Answer: Extra full profile implants probably not a natural look The profile of the implant is determined by the base diameter of the breast and the desired volume. At your height and weight, even the 385 full profile will probably be more than "barely noticeable." If natural is what you really want, avoid the ssx implant.

Answer: Hard to say- you'd need a consult | Breast Implants | Augmentation | Lift | Fat Grafting | Aesthetic Plastic Surgery | Expert Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most women do not wear the proper exact fitting bra size for their bodies 3) The exact volume (in cc) needed to change cup size is different for different body types (e.g. 32A to 32D requires a different implant size than 38A to 38D) 4) Be careful NOT to fall into the trap most women do- they see a certain implant size (e.g. 285 cc) or perhaps their friend had a certain size, and they want or request this or another size based on that. Everyone's body is different- 285 cc implants on your friend might look VERY different than they would on you. Be very careful not to make this mistake, because the goal is to find the right size and shape for YOU- for your particular body and your breasts. Because of those multiple factors, and because it is KEY to fully evaluate your breasts in person to make a full set of precise measurements to select the proper implant for you (incorporating factors like amount of breast tissue, implant type, base width, projection, etc), answering your question really would need a formal personalized consultation- to say anything before that would simply be guessing, which would be both unfair and unhelpful to you. Also, just FYI, each surgeon's measurements are slightly different, so numbers, experience, and overall aesthetic from one surgeon aren't necessarily the same as those from another surgeon! Your breasts are such a KEY area of your body and your femininity- therefore, you should ONLY trust an experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. As such an expert, I have had extensive training and experience with complex aesthetic surgeries under a multiple world-renowned experts in the field. I’d recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with aesthetic plastic surgery procedures) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Debating SSX400 versus SSF385 implants Hello, you mentioned that you want an outcome that is barely noticeable, but typically when a person is choosing extra full profile implants that are near their maximal breast width (according to the comments of your surgeon), the result will be a significant difference. If you're seeking a subtle result, then smaller implants might be a consideration. However, these are just general comments because without a proper examination it is difficult to give specific advice on the two implants you're considering. Your surgeon can also discuss whether it is possible to help correct the difference in breast size by inserting two different implants.

Answer: Volume Not Profile Is Your Rate Limiting Factor Dear Faith0511, As my other colleagues have pointed out, the real issue here may be the volume you choose and not necessarily the profile of the implant. I would need to examine and measure you in person to give you the most accurate advice. "Natural" and "fake" and very subjective and the discussion should include photos of other breast augmentation women, the use of pre-operative sizers as well as measurements and examination. Maybe a second opinion would be helpful. Good luck with your surgery and I hope you get the result you are looking for. Dr. Gervais.

Answer: SSF vs SSX Thanks for your question! You keep stressing wanting a very "natural look". On your frame with your current breast shape and size, I think that a 385cc SSF implant is going to be noticeable. I think an SSX implant would be fake looking. Perhaps you need to sit down with your plastic surgeon again and re-assess your goals. Maybe an SSM or a smaller SSF is going to suit you better. Good luck!
