Hi I'm 5ft 9 174lbs. I have had the double chin problem for a long time . Recently I tried cool sculpting bc I didn't want to go surgery route. At first it seemed to work and then again it started re appearing . The cool sculpting person said it's lose skin . Is doing a neck lift the only option or if I can get down to 160 should help reduce it ? What cost should I be expecting for surgery? Should I try kybella? How much should kyvella cost and how many treatments? Thanks very much.
Answer: J-Platzy improves neck fullness and skin laxity. Thank you so much for your question and photo. Fullness of the neck is an extremely common concern in my practice. Frequently, correction requires not only reduction of the fat but also tightening of the skin. We now have several great options For correction of neck fullness avoiding the scars of a traditional neck lift. This is especially important for men who want to avoid visible scars as well as changes in their beard and hair line. You would do great with the J Platzy Procedure with J-plasma cool helium plasma for skin tightening and rejuvenation. This is extremely exciting technology! This can be done in the office with local anesthesia with minimal downtime and recovery. Another option is Necktite which is a radiofrequency technology for lifting and tightening. I would recommend a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in facial rejuvenation for and in personal consultation to discuss your options. Best regards Dr. Lyos

Answer: Loose skin beneath the chin Thank you for this question. Kybella is used to dissolve fat and not recommended as a skin tightening procedure. In fact, inn some cases, the loose skin beneath the chin can look worse after Kybella treatment. Sometimes a combination of Kybella and Inmode Facetite or Thermi or Laser liposuction can provide excellent results. In other cases, a necklift with removal of skin is the best choice. Find a surgeon who can offer all these options.

Answer: Kybella Dear ab102,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Chin Contouring with VASER, ThermiRF, Coolsculpting, Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy, Exilis, Neck Lift I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if there is skin laxity. Kybella can be used as an alternative and needs to be combined with thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting for good results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
