Yes, you can get liposuction after Kybella. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Kybella works well for people who have fat deposits in the chin area. In order to get a good result, the skin around the neck should have good tone. Kybella is an alternate treatment for people who don't want surgery. It is an in office procedure. It takes two or more sessions to get results. Patient have inflammation and swelling for a few days after treatment. Kybella treatments can cost $2000 or more.Liposuction can be done after Kybella. The cost range can be between $1500-3000 depending on your market. It is a procedure that is done in one treatment. Swelling can last for a week or two. It can be done under general anesthesia or twilight sedation. If you are ok with surgery, my advice is to go with liposuction. The cost is about the same and you only need one treatment and one recovery time. If you do not like the idea of surgery, Kybella is an alternative treatment.
Yes. It is perfectly safe to have liposuction performed under the chin following a Kybella treatment. Liposuction is the gold standard for fat removal but it is surgery so there will be more downtime/recovery involved.
Hi There, Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid. This drug causes fat cells to rupture when injected into the tissue. Without photos it is difficult to tell if this would be the best option, however, if you are considering liposuction, Kybella would not be a necessary step prior to the procedure. If you have already had Kybella and are unhappy with the results, liposuction is still an option for you.Hope this helps, Javad Sajan, MD
Hello and Thank you for the question. Yes you can definitely have liposuction after Kybella. I would wait about 6-8 weeks after your last Kybella injection before proceeding with liposuction. Good Luck and hope this helps. Dr. David
Hello Cstromain,You can still get liposuction after Kybella. From the reaction to Kybella it may be a little more difficult for the liposuction but not so much that it would add a significant amount of time to the procedure. But if you are contemplating liposuction then why not just proceed with that instead of Kybella? The benefit of Kybella is not having a surgery. The drawback is it takes much longer to get a result. I would recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon. That way you can discuss both Kybella and liposuction and which would be best for you.I hope this helps and good luck.
if you are even remotely thinking about a liposuction, and assuming you do not have significant skin laxity, then just do the lipo. You will have a better result and it will be cheaper than a Kybella series!
Inflammation and swelling expected following each Kybella treatment. We do often find that swelling is slightly less with each subsequent treatment, though swelling cannot be avoided entirely. With each treatment, there is less fat for the Kybella to target which typically results in s...
Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear about your results. Without an exam or at least some pictures for reference, it is impossible to answer this question. The line could be protrusion of the underlying platysma muscle that is now visible since the fat is reduced. But it is hard to say....
For best results to this area, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal...
The amount of treatments recommended are based on results for improvement. It is unlikely that Kybella injections will cause a build up of scar tissue that will negatively impact your results. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options ...
