Got my first treatment done today. It was a little more uncomfortable than I thought, my jaw, back teeth, and ears are pretty sore from the injections. I’m hoping it’s temporary. Swelling isn’t too bad and while the injections weren’t really painful, just uncomfortable... I’ll give you an update in a few weeks! Fingers crossed it works well!
Let me start by saying that I am 62 years old. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 143 lbs. I currently wear size 8/10 clothes, sometimes a size 6 on bottoms. That's because I have no ass. Never have and I am tired of always having to find or alter things to fit. I was prepared to have a BBL with 360 lipo a few year ago. I had just bought a home and life was great. In 2018, I went in for a routine wellness exam and my doctor found a lump in my left breast. After more test and biopsies, I was informed that I had stage 3 breast cancer. I was devastated and completely bewildered. Over the next two and a half years, I had 16 rounds of chemo, 3 surgeries and 30 rounds of radiation. My poor body took a beating. I am left with one breast (my best feature) My beautiful thick long hair is no more and so I NEED a butt. Updated on 27 Mar 2021: Surgery date set for April 30, 2021. I have paid my deposit and starting on labs and paperwork. Also checking into Airbnb. Better rates than some of the nice hotels. I have a surgery buddy. We will drive together from Dallas to Houston on April 29th, check into condo and do Pre-op. Surgery is 1st Friday morning. There are a few wonderful and coincidences things about this journey. First, my very good friend will be with me. Second, I don’t have to go all the way to Miami. Third, I grew up across the street from my doctor and his family. Fourth, he is double board certified. Fifth, his nurse/assistant will be providing the aftercare and will stay with us the whole weekend. What more could you ask for, right?Added 2 wish pics. Updated on 27 Mar 2021: Updated on 15 Apr 2021: Hello Dolls. I’m just 2 weeks away from having my BBL. Not nervous at all. Just excited as hell. My doctor’s office staff has been awesome. Very caring and responsive and always makes time for me if I have questions or concerns. They don’t ask you to buy a lot of extra stuff. Only 4 vitamins: E, C, Omega Fish Oil & Zinc. Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. Wow. I can’t believe it’s really going to happen. I have been wanting and waiting for at least 4 years. I tried to gain a few extra pounds. Now at 148 lbs, normally at 143. Updated on 21 Apr 2021: I am strangely calm about my procedure. What is most concerning is how to keep it under wraps after returning to work and being around family and friends. No one knows that I am having this done except my surgery buddy and friend. How will I explain not sitting down or the need for my bbl pillow, when I do. What do I do when going to restaurants or other people’s homes. I can get away with it at work because I have a veridesk which allows me to stand while working on my computer. SMD...IDK. Updated on 25 Apr 2021: I’m ready to get this show on the road. There has been no hiccups. All set and ready for my “née me”. Updated on 25 Apr 2021: Notice that I always cover my mid section. So tired of having to do that. Updated on 4 May 2021: Hello Dolls. Everything went great. I am so happy with my results so far. Still very swollen and sore but otherwise good. Updated on 4 May 2021: Forgot to upload photos Updated on 5 May 2021: A few days after surgery. Doing good but sleeping on tummy is awful. Going to Walmart to get zero gravity camping lounger by Ozark Trail that another Doll recommended. Hope it works. I’ll post pics. Updated on 5 May 2021: Trying to add pics again. Updated on 5 May 2021: Swelling is going down. Trying to find a licensed lymphatic drainage massage therapist in my area. Found one but waiting for a callback. Added pics from today. Updated on 6 May 2021: I was his only patient that day. That's how he does it. It's all about you. Warm and wonderful bedside manner. Very caring and full of details. Called to check on me several times within 2 days. His assistant offered to bring me something to eat if needed because my caregiver had to leave town for a day. Unfortunately, it was the next day after surgery. I had food but she came anyway to help me shower, change bed linens, gave me a massage and kept me company for several hours. I was so appreciative and didn't feel alone. Can't thank them enough. Updated on 9 May 2021: Still somewhat swollen. Updated on 15 May 2021: Everything is going good. Went back to work last week. It was a very long week. No problem with sitting while there. I have an ergonomic desk that lifts when I want to work standing up. On another note, I am healing well but itching like crazy. It was almost unbearable. The incisions are what itch the most. I went online to look for some remedies. One blog suggested using 100% coconut oil. Another said to try dry brushing. Both helped enormously. That dry brush felt so good, almost orgasmic. LOL. Still in my original garment. I will request my 2nd stage faja as soon as this one starts to feel really loose. Not quite there yet but this garment has gotten a lot more comfortable. Thank goodness. One day, I wanted to take it off and burn it. It was driving me crazy because it was cutting into my arm pit. I tried every adjustment, put some thin foam strips between the shoulder straps and the front of my arm pit. That helped a lot. The booty is already starting to soften but it has not dropped or fluffed yet. Also, dr. Was not able to lipo my stomach area. He told me that he could only take out so much fat at one time so he did my back and flanks. I will go back in 2 months for the abdomen, pubic pouch and upper inner thighs. It was all included in the original cost. Thank goodness. Updated on 25 May 2021: The swelling is starting to subside but the itching is horrendous. Dry brushing helps so much. Updated on 6 Jun 2021: It’s now been 5 weeks since surgery. Not sure how I feel about it, it is a roller coaster ride. Some days I am happy about it and some days I’m not. Updated on 8 Jun 2021: Pi’s at 5 weeks P/O.
Dr. Rodriguez and his team are exceptional. My results are wonderful. Definitely his mesotherapy technique and procedures for reduction of the double chin are much superior to Kybella, previous to this treatment I had tried with another doctor 2 vials of Kybella without improvement or remarkable results even though I was losing weight after my pregnancy. I'm very active, (I consider myself a fit person), 30+ year old, 5'05 with 130 lbs but my double chin was really hard to dissolve only by diet and exercise. Dr. Rodriguez is very dedicated., He takes the time to explain and talk about the process or other procedures that can make you more beautiful and you may be interested, (or in my case I didn't know about it ). He's educated and an excellent communicator, definitely if in the future I need some cosmetic procedures I will return to him. My pictures say everything. before and after in only 3 weeks and only 1 treatment! I still can feel the product "working", full results can be see it after 1 month, but I'm too happy and amazed with how I look, my friends are telling me that I look wonderful my face look more defined and youthful. I can say that compared to Kybella, it's the same ingredient / acid but more potent. pos-injection symptoms are almost the same swelling, harder area, lumps, itching. I also doing the B12 and Lipo shots once a week to speed up the process of getting rid of the fat deposits faster with a higher metabolism. Another plus+ this procedure is more affordable and effective than the 2 vials of Kybella. I hope this helps other to avoid the waste of time and money that Kybella really is. Dr. Rodriguez is located in Houston texas and I'm glad. Updated on 6 Jan 2019: I'm very happy with the results, after the 3rd week of waiting for swelling of the treatment to improve Dr. Rodriguez recommended botox for the platysmal bands on my neck, also known as the nefertiti lift , and I can't be more satisfied with the results. Rodriguez Rejuvenation provides an intelligent, effective and affordable way to combat the aging process. Thank you! Dr. Rodriguez and Team
I was curious and took a plunge with Mesotherapy-Kybella like treatment. Dr Rodriguez makes his own concoction with the chemicals used in Kybella (deoxycholic acid) and a few other helping chemicals like phosphatidylcholine. The doc explained thoroughly what he will do and how it would work on me patiently. He drafted a "map" under my chin and went to it skillfully, jiggling with each injection to reduce the pain or distract my "horror". It must be 30 injections or so, but not bad at all. He said that squirmy patients can request numbing cream for a small fee prior to injections. Patients must come a little bit ahead to wait for the numbing cream to take effect. I have no problems with pin pricks and went through everything fine. The office offered a chin strap to wrap around my chin in case I will balloon up. Indeed I ballooned up at home like a bull frog and had some bruises under the chin for about 5 days. I just used a scarf and went about my business. Amazingly, my fatty little chin chin slowly disappeared. I am so pleased. I just came back to Dr Rodriguez for a follow up as I had saved 4 mesotherapy sessions with him ahead. He said that the chin was doing great and just needs a tine retouch. He used the mesotherapy session to contour my fatty fat face. I always have a round face. With age, my cheeks droop a bit and I get those 2 little cushiony pads of fat on both sides. He said that the mesotherapy will define my face better. Less baby face on an old woman. Bullfrog face again! This time, it's a combination of chipmunk and bull frog. He injected both sides of my face. Not painful at all! He added some hydrocortisone cream over the injections sites and told me not to scratch. I still have my face sling which I could use but find it hideous and in the way. This time, I am taking some arnica and chymotrypsin to tone down the bruising. We will see what happens. The doctor said that he will share pictures of before and after upon my next visit in 6 weeks. I know that the fat under my chin was gone and I am very happy. My doctor is amazing. Very thorough and seems to be very experienced and skillful. I am a bit of a nerd who studies everything to death and research before jumping in with any new adventure. I am not an easy patient. However, I trust my doctor. He did not talk down to me and took the time to explain, showed examples, photos, drawings etc...He has a calm and collected demeanor. His office staff is great also. Very friendly and accommodating team. Updated on 26 Sep 2017: No bruising. Swelling went down. I took arnica all those days and this helps preventing the bruise
My experience initially with the doctor was ok. I was happy with the fact that he did Vaserlipo and didn't recommend a tummy tuck like every other doctor I had spoken with. I had my surgery on 7/8/2022, it went well I could barely remember it and I was awake...lol. My first concern was the shape of my butt after surgery, I felt like the doctor just inserted the fact without any real shape. I had voiced my concern at my 1st post-op appointment, his response was " I removed alot of fat and inserted in your butt, if you can look at the before pics and look at you now, you look a whole lot better. WTF??? That wasn't the issue. I realized how I looked NOW vs THEN, that wasn't the question. I was talking about how you shaped my butt. It's 8/2, overall, I'm getting happier with my results even my butt. I still have soreness on my ribs and in my lower abdomen, but I just realized that Bengay is the truth in assisting with the soreness.
I had Thermi-Tight AND Thermi Smooth done above my knees by two different doctors in Houston, TX. I have wrinkles/crinkles above both knees. The Thermi Smooth produced absolutely no difference. The Thermi-Tight which is the more invasive procedure (I do confuse the two!) also produced absolutely NO results. The invasive prodcedure was extremely painful and caused broken blood vessels and numbness around my knees for almost one year. I am now completing the last session of a total of eight sessions above the knees with Tripolar. I don't know how long the results will last yet I am AMAZED at how much better my knees look. I am thin, workout and have suffered with progressive sagging around the knees. The Tripolar has improved the lines above my knees by OVER 60%!! I will see about getting before and after photos from my doctor then repost. As of today, this has been the best cosmetic procedure I have done. Very pleased and will continue with follow-up treatment in 6 months for Tripolar. Almost forgot this post is for Thermi-Tight. Complete WASTE of money. Updated on 17 Aug 2017: I posted that I had awful results from the Thermi Tight and Thermi Smooth procedures. Both seemed to have sucked all the fat and/or collagen (maybe even muscle) out of my body. The area above my knees had wrinkled skin and the muscle all but vanished after both procedures. I posted that a year later I thought I had some improvement from Tripolar. Spoke too soon. It has been about a year now and i can say the area above my knees looks wrinkled and pretty much as bad as it did before the Tipolar. End Result all these procedures were a complete waste of money and were physically and emotionally draining. I was two plastic surgeons that tell me it looks as if the fat (possibly) muscle was sucked/drained out of me. Best option is a thigh lift. Ouch. I have been on a MEGA exercise routine (daily) to build muscles in my upper thighs and above knees. After 2-1/2 months dedicated, I DO SEE A NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT-NO TREATMENTS. JUST ME AT THE GYM! good luck and please be careful of these "new procedures". At some point soon I will get a thigh lift.
This is just a mini procedure I'm having done before I go to a wedding in Cancun. I will actually be having a BBL with Dr Sergio Alvarez February 23rd 2018. I will leave him back fat for my fat transfer to my butt. As for now I'm focusing on my stomach. I'll be having my upper and lower stomach, and planks done. I'm so excited to see what this vaser lipo is all about. I know that I'll be highly medicated but awake. (I know what that's like because I did SmartLipo March 2014 but got pregnant again).
In our practice we find that carefully delivered subcutaneous (under skin) ultrasound or radiofrequency treatment, with external infrared skin temperature (43-46 degrees Celsius) monitoring, safely results in significant collagen remodeling yielding a tighter look.
If the product was injected as a bolus, instead of many injections of tiny amounts distributed over the target area, the resulting inflammation may show up as a hard ball. Have your practitioner consider Kenalog (steroid) injection into the lumps,
In my experience, CoolSculpting cannot effectively flatten out the Post-Baby Pooch that is often accentuated by the c-section scar, which pulls the skin inward. I have found significant improvement non-surgically by injecting fat-destroying medications into the fat above the scar, very precisely, with a procedure called Mesotherapy-- consider it "Kybella for the body." It requires weeks to months to gradually see results, but other non-surgical fat treatment options like CoolSculpting or SculpSure also require months of patience to achieve results. No anesthesia is required, and you can return to work right after the treatment, saving time and money. For immediate improvement, I use VASER Liposuction, which employs ultrasonic energy to emulsify ("melt") the fat trapped above the scarred C-section area and break up the underlying scar tissue, to make fat removal or smoothing out more effective and even. I use the heat generated by VASER to heat up the overlying skin to above 43 degrees Centigrade, stimulating more collagen tightening than tumescent liposuction alone. This office procedure is done safely using mild sedation and local anesthesia. Some patients return to work the next day. These techniques that I have explained can also be used to correct irregularities that sometimes occur with CoolSculpting itself, with no general anesthesia, which reduces risks and costs.
In my experience, CoolSculpting cannot effectively smooth out irregularities in scarred (underneath the skin) fatty tissue that remains after liposuction. I have found significant improvement non-surgically by injecting fat-destroying medications into these areas, very precisely, with a procedure called Mesotherapy-- consider it "Kybella for the body." No anesthesia is required, and you can return to work right after the treatment, saving time and money. For for resistant areas, I use VASER Liposuction, which employs ultrasonic energy to emulsify ("melt") the fat trapped in the scarred liposuction area, to make fat removal or smoothing out more effective and even. Tumescent liposuction or microliposuction alone will create more scarring because the trapped irregular fat must be treated more aggressively than virgin fat to get it out. This less traumatic VASER Liposuction is safely performed in the office using mild sedation and local anesthesia. Some patients return to work the next day. For areas where too much fat was removed or destroyed, fat grafting-- taking a little fat from an area where you do not want it and injecting into the hollowed depressed area(s)-- can smooth out the surface appearance. These techniques that I have explained can also be used to correct irregularities that sometimes occur with CoolSculpting itself. These techniques require NO expensive and risky general anesthesia.
In this case ThermiVa may be used judiciously by a trained surgeon knowledgeable of pelvic anatomy. In my opinion, the area of erosion should be avoided unless you know that all of the mesh was removed. The more external structures can be treated safely to improve appearance, sensation, and possibly lubrication.
