I had sex after 2 weeks exactly of tummy tuck and lipo is it dangerous. I had no pain or pressure

Its not really a question of whether having sex after tummy tuck is dangerous but rather can having sex after tummy tuck alter your results? When I advise my patients on their post operative recovery, I tell them no heavy lifting or strenuous activity for 6 weeks and this includes sex! When one has a tummy tuck, the abdominal muscles are sewn together and any strain to this area has the possibility of loosening or even ruining the repair. The best thing to do is have a discussion with your plastic surgeon and see what his/her thoughts are. Hope this helps!Ankur Mehta MD

My patients receive a specific set of activity restrictions for each type of surgery. I would tell a tummy tuck to wait one month for missionary sexual activity due to the possibility of stress on your muscle repair and your incision line.

Thank you very much for your question.It's not "dangerous", however you are putting the muscle repair at risk given the activation of core muscles with sexual activity.  I would discuss your activity restrictions with your doctor and make sure they are ok with your level of activity at this point.  Best of luck!
