I got Dysport about 3 weeks ago and I am noticing a weird shelf or shadow area between my eyes and cheekbones. This is the first time I have gotten it for under my eyes before. Is the Dysport causing it? I do have Restylane under my eyes but I got that 4 months ago. What can be done or do I just need to wait it out if the Dysport is the issue?
Answer: Unhappy with Dysport/Botox/Xeomin Results--add venus legacy, thermage This may be due to Dysport placement. Dysport results last up to 3-4 months and can be softened with venus legacy and thermage treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: What can be done to fix it? Dysport results It's hard to tell from your photos. You appear to have under eye hollows which can be improved with filler. Dysport results will gradually resolve in 3-4 months. Hope this helps.

Answer: Shelf like appearance, undereyes Hi, despite the photos that you provided, it is still hard to tell what is causing this problem. Treating with too much of any neurotoxin on the lower portion of the crowsfeet can cause a shelf like appearance to show up mainly when patients smile. It is also possible that this problem is due to the fact that more filler is needed in the tear trough area. If the problem lies in the Dysport, this shelf like look will diminish in the next 1-2 months and I suggest to explain this to your provider next time so that less amount of units would be injected in the lower orbicularis oculi muscle or none at all. Hope this helps, -Melody PAC

Answer: Lower eyelid changes after dysport while the timing suggests this may be due to dysport, it is somewhat hard to tell for sure. the lower lids are incredibly dynamic in a 3D way. restylane to your lower lids may have improved contours and filled in hollows. however the orbicularis muscle which lies under the skin of your eyelids has a certain 'tone' which many times acts like a girdle - if you were treated with dysport to improve lines around your eyes or some other reason - you may have 'relaxed the girdle' luckily dysport wears off fairly quickly and if it is related you should go back to 'normal' you should definitely discuss this with your injector to make sure to avoid this in the future

Answer: Can Dysport injection cause hollows under the eyes? It is highly unlikely the Dysport caused the hollowness under your eyes although by injecting it around the eyes it might have amplified the issue. Hollows under the eyes are normally the result of fat atrophy or fat loss in the tear trough area. As we age, we lose collagen and fat and as a result, the eyes look hollow. The fastest way to fix that is by injecting a filler like Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma. An experienced injector should be able to do so with or without a cannula. The cost can range between $1500 to $2500 and the outcome can last up to 16 months or so depending on the dermal filler used.
