I would like a second opinion: I asked the doctor to completely fill in my hollows for a more youthful look but this is what I got. He cont. to add filler until I was pleased with my look. I paid $3,000 that day for filler under my eyes. When the bruising cleared up, this is was what I was left with. A blue discoloration, and bulging filler in my cheeks, and I still have deep hollows under my eyes. I am so disappointed! I do not know where to begin or where to go to get this fixed, and I am scared to trust just anyone.
Answer: Tyndall effect Hi @ravenl777. I'm sorry this happened to you. This discoloration is called Tyndall effect which is caused by placing filler too superficially in this area. Hyaluronic acid facial filler products that were previously injected into an improper tissue plane can be dissolved by hyaluronidase injections. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Side effects after tear trough fillers The discoloration you are seeing is known as the Tyndall effect, typically caused by placing filler too superficially in this area. This treatment requires a great deal of expertise and precision to achieve a natural effect. You can have the current filler dissolved - I would wait at least 2 weeks after your treatment to pursue this option. Make sure your next injector has extensive experience and training in this area to ensure a better result the next time around.

Answer: Filler reversal First of all, I'm sorry this happened to you. The blue discoloration is called Tyndall effect, which is caused by the filler reflecting blue light more than red. The filler used was most likely a hyaluronic acid filler, which may safely be reversed with a dissolving agent.

Answer: Fillers You will want to wait for two weeks from the time of treatment before considering any further treatment. From your "before" photo it appears you would be a good candidate for fillers. You may want to consider having the current filler dissolved and beginning again. The wonderful thing about fillers is that you can begin slowly and work up to the look you are wanting, especially with this delicate area.

Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers Belotero, Volbella; Fraxel/Halo; emeragecosmetics ENLIGHTEN/AERIFY/COSMELAN reverse the filler with Hyaluronidase. injections because you have swelling and "Tyndall" effect (bluish discoloration)....also consider lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).... which should have been what you were offered in the beginning..... as well as some filler to the cheeks and very SMALL filler to the under eyes once the other filler is resolved. you need at home peels like cosmelan/enlighten/or weekly aerify, eye roller at home and lasers to help tighten the area. the amount you paid has nothing to do with the results. you need to go to someone experienced regardless of the cost. do not compromise for cost or distance. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels, and microneedling RF like Fractora or morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.
