I'm finishing up 6 months of accutane and want to get my double chin removed. I'm healthy but I have a hereditary double chin. How soon can I get smart lipo after accutane? I'm not all that worried about scars since I will need intensive scar treatment on existing acne scars all along my jaw in the future anyway.
Answer: Surgery after Accutane The general rule is to wait 1 year after the completion of the accutane course. That decision should be made be your surgeon. Please consult with an experienced facial plastic surgeon.

Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear Changeissometimesbad, Every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. But most plastic surgeons will tell you that 6 months of waiting period should be enough. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Neck Sagging/Fat - VASERlipo, FaceTite/AccuTite, Morpheus8/Fractora, Neck Lift/Platysmaplasty; Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy For a double chin, InMode FaceTite with VASERlipo would give you the best result. With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall, the neck can be treated with a combination approach: 1. Microneedling and laser treatments for texture 2. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Jeuveau to help platysmal bands 3. Intensif, Fractora, or Morpheus8 microneedling RF for crepey skin and lifting 4. Injectable fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, and Juvederm Volbella to improve lines and folds 5. Face/neck lifting if sagging is prominent or premature, with or without platysmaplasty (muscle tightening) 6. Renuvion (J-Plasma), ThermiRF, and InMode FaceTite/AccuTite for internal tightening 7. Ultherapy and Thermage for external tightening 8. Regular Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, or InMode Forma treatments with facials to maintain tightness 9. PDO NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift cone threads for lifting and long-term collagen production See an expert for a formal evaluation and to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual situation and goals. Answer: Smartlipo following Accutane use I would advise waiting at least 6 months after Accutane to get any type of cosmetic procedure since the medication affects all types of tissue and could hamper wound healing.

Answer: How soon after Accutane can I get liposuction on my chin? Probably best to wait at least six months after Accutane before undergoing elective cosmetic surgery in the neck. A full set of pictures are required to make a determination about how best to proceed, since liposuction only address removal of the fatty deposits above the platysma muscle. Many patients have significant fat deposits below the platysma muscle which must be removed with a neck lift and platysma-plasty. Most patients less than 50 years of age can get by with no skin removal.
