Will I get loose skin after smart lipo?

At least based on your photos, you are a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck 360.  When a patient is an ideal candidate for one thing and chooses to do something else, the result is compromised.  It your desire is to have the tightest, flattest tummy you can have, liposuction is not the best option.  If you are content to be smaller and likely have more lax skin, liposuction is an option.  All patients just need to understand their options and the upside/downside of each potential procedure.  Good luck.  Dr. Greenwald

In my experience,Smart Lipo laser (and Vaser ultrasound) liposuction will remove stubborn fat and tighten skin. Many patients avoid a tummy tuck.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

You need liposuction + tummy tuck to get the best results here. Smart liposuction alone will not be helpful for you.
You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Excellent question. Thank you for asking. One fo the advantages of the Smartlipo procedure are its skin-tightening effects. However, it is important to keep in mind that Smartlipo is not a skin tightening procedure per se. The aim of Smartlipo (and every liposuction procedure) is the removal of fat cells from a target area. Smartlipo accomplishes this with a laser-enhanced cannula. The cannula bombards sub-dermal fat tissue with laser heat to liquify it prior to extraction. Liquifying the the fat makes it safer and easier to remove than solid fat globules.Skin tightening is an ancillary benefit of the Smartlipo procedure. When adipose fat tissue is heated, it produces a "shrink wrap" effect on the skin. This effect leads to the smoother, tighter results of Smartlipo when compared to traditional liposuction techniques.   Judging by your stretch marks I would conclude that loose skin will be an issue for you no matter how you lose your belly. Smartipo will tighten your skin significantly, and so you may be pleased by the results of the procedure. But a tummy tuck is the only direct way to eliminate loose skin.  

Ideally, you want to be at or very close to your target weight before getting any type of liposuction, including Smartlipo™. While Smartlipo does help to address small amounts of excess skin by combining laser energy with traditional liposuction, there is no guarantee that you won’t be left with excess skin after your treatment. I would recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a cosmetic surgeon to discuss your goals and options and help you decide which body contouring procedure could be right for you. Many patients want to avoid the pain and downtime of a tummy tuck, but is still their best option. Smart Lipo (laser-assisted liposuction) can only reduce subcuateous fat that you can pinch. The laser can stimulate collagen under the skin and provide some degree of tightening but not like a tuck. 

It's not any surgical procedure in particular that determines the outcome, but the hands of the plastic surgeon you choose to perform the procedure on you. you should definitely be evaluated by a plastic surgeon in person. The photographs only tell one side of the story but a plastic surgeon needs to see the quality of your skin in person and determine what results should look like at the end. From the pictures, it appears that you should have a very good result and I wish you good luck from New York City.

You will NOT get loose skin after SmartLipo, if you follow instructions for recovery and wear your compression garment as recommended. We have taken care of many individuals with similar frontal view and side view as your photos and the results speak for themselves.
I would want you to consider SmartLipo with a surgeon that also does BodyTite. That way if you would like the skin  result to be better--- BodyTite can improve it even more if necessary at a later date.
