Sientra high profile implants, which size would get me from an A cup to a C cup? 300cc or 350cc (photo)

It is very difficult to say which implant volume will achieve a certain cup size. This is mostly because there is no standard as to what a cup size is. There is disagreement both within the medical community and also the brought manufacturing fashion industry as to what a C cup is. With that said, for most patients the 350 mL Sientra high profile implant would achieve a C cup in my practice as determined by most patients. Of course it depends on what type of bra that you are wearing and by which manufacturer. Certain manufacturers will call a smaller cup a larger size compared to other manufacturers. At your consultation, it would be wise to bring in photographs of models that show a particular breast size and discuss this with your surgeon as to what your goals are. Your surgeon will also use sizers or 3D imaging to help you make your decision.

With that profile and size of implant, the augmentation that you get will likely fit you into a C cup. However, if you are truly a 29 band width, it is possible that it could push you into a D cup depending on what brand of bra you typically wear. Either way, 300-350cc implants will not make you look "too large" and should be a good fit based on the measurements you provided.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend seeing if your Surgeon of choice can offer you some 3D imaging. This tool helps determine what could fit base on measurements. I do think somewhere between the 300-350 cc HP implant will get you into the "C" cup category. Whether you want to be a small, mid or full C could determine the size your surgeon decides to use. Choosing the implant size can be one of the hardest decisions with breast augmentation. Every plastic surgeon has their own method to pick the correct implant size with their patients. The choice of implant is determined by combining your goals for size and the appearance of the breasts with a detailed assessment of your height/weight, breast dimensions, and chest width.

In our practice, we encourage patients to bring in photos of breasts that they like and to spend time putting implants in their bra and deciding on the size and shape during the consultation. breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Thank you for your question. For your reference, 50 cc is approximately 3 tablespoons. While it is noticeable, it is not an enormous amount of volume, and certainly not enough to change cup sizes. My recommendation is to ensure that you and your surgeon are on the absolute same page as to the result that you were looking for and ideally you trust him or her to make the correct decision for you in the operating room. The simplest way for you to possibly envision where your body is heading before your proposed surgery would be to obtain high profile 300cc and 350cc implants (sizers) and place them in a C cup bra that fits you (the style and manufaturer you like).
