Best method to permanently reduce the labiomental fold?

I’ve heard conflicting answers on whether a custom implant could push out the fold, but fillers are too temporary and fat grafting is unreliable (especially in the mouth area). How could this area be pushed out permanently?

A deep mentolabial fold often indicates a chin that is short in length. If that is the case, then a lengthening genioplasty may be indicated in your case. The height of the chin should be approx. 40 mm in females and 44 mm in males. This gives you a starting point to determine if you have a short chi9n.

The labiomental fold is a direct reflection of the projection of the chin. The problem is not lacking tissue in the fold it is typically excessive projection of the mandible.
