How can I achieve more lip projection? (Photos)

Hi. I have a flat philtrum and want my lips to project more. I have read about a v-y advancement and a lip lift. I really don’t think a lip Lift is the right choice (although my philtrum is long) I think it will make my upper lip bigger than my lower lip and have too much tooth show - even with a conservative amount. Filler has not worked for projection. i also had a nose job which I think relaxed the muscle Any suggestions? Thank you

Yes, based on what you’re describing, a V-Y advancement may make more sense than a lip lift if your main goal is more forward lip projection, not just shortening the distance between the nose and lip.
A lip lift mainly:
shortens the philtrum
increases upper tooth show
rolls the upper lip slightly upward
It does not always create strong forward projection, and your concern is valid: in some patients it can make the upper lip look more prominent vertically without giving the kind of projection they actually want.
A V-Y advancement is often better when the goal is:
more upper lip projection
more visible pink lip
better shape without depending on filler
That said, it can also increase lip fullness, so the balance with the lower lip still matters.
Since you mention a prior rhinoplasty and possible muscle change, that makes an in-person exam especially important. Sometimes lip posture and animation are influenced by the orbicularis muscle, dental support, and overall facial proportions, not just the philtrum length alone.
I would suggest consulting with a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon who has specific experience with lip lifts and V-Y advancement, and ask them which option will best improve projection, not just size.
