I had masseter Botox and after a year my face seems to have extra skin on lower face. It creates a dark shadow here making my face look hollow. I am getting chin lipo plus jaw contouring next week and want to know if this will help this problem if not what will.
Answer: Tighten the skin on the face by doing Morpheus8 treatments. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Loose skin Dear Tracyreh1, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Extra skin on the face I don’t think you have a problem with extra skin or with loose skin at all. As we age our skin loses elasticity or stretchy Ness and this starts at a pretty young age. if you look at a picture of a 17-year-old, a 27-year-old and a 37-year-old woman you can easily tell the ages apart. even one year is still one year of aging and we all need to accept that our bodies will change with time. There is no particular good nonsurgical skin tightening though lots of people will offer lots of treatment options if you go shopping around. I don’t think you need any intervention at all. Stay fit and continue wearing sunscreen. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
