Fibroadenoma Removal with Lift and Implant - Can These Procedures Be Performed Together? (Photos)

Question

I have a 2.1 cm biopsied and confirmed fibroadenoma that I would like removed. Separately, I have also been wanting to get a breast augmentation and lift (would like doctor input on what I need) more to fix shape after three babies than add a bunch of volume. Is it possible to remove the fibroadenoma at the same time as these other breast surgeries? How should I approach a consult with this extra layer? I can bring the ultrasound, it is on my right breast to the lower left of my areola. Any thoughts on whether I need a lift and whether I could combine the fibroadenoma surgery would be much appreciated. In the picture, the bruised spot is where the fibroadenoma is / where my biopsy was.

Your breasts are asymmetrical in volume, shape and position. You would benefit from excision of the fibroadenoma and breast lift done at the same time. I usually do not do augmentation at the same time of the lift. The reason being is that the lift can devascularize the breast and implant placement can cause additional vascular problems. I recommend doing the excision of fibroadenoma and lift and then augmentation later, if necessary. The breast lift technique I recommend is the Bellesoma. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired.

Based on the submitted photo you have some ptosis (sagging) and asymmetry of the breasts.  Both can be addressed and you should have a nice result from a breast augmentation with a lift.  The fibroadenoma can possibly be removed at the time of surgery but must be discussed with your surgeon.  She/He will advise what is needed but bring along whatever you have related to the mass.
