480cc & 520cc Boost Mentor high profile 6 months ago, when do they soften?

Question

I had mentor memory gel for 20 years, then removed implants for 10 months, had new BOOST high profile 480 put in. It’s been 6 months … when do they soften?! It’s hard to lay on my stomach, they have softened some but not much. I had to do the z wave to get the left one to drop and it’s still high. Quasi double bubble but regardless of that I feel they should be softer at this point. My fear is that the implant type itself is more firm. I am 5’1 and 110lbs implant 480 R side and 520 left side

Your implants are probably too large for your tissue and may always feel firm. Large implants stretch and thin out your own breast tissue so there is little tissue covering the implants. However, please check with your surgeon to make sure you do not have a capsule.

I suggest you follow up with your provider.
As a general statement, I do not recommend removing breast implants if patients have any interest in maintaining implant augmentation in the future.
Taking out the implants and not replacing them, will cause the implant pocket to collapse with built-up scar tissue.
 Expanding it at a later date is going to be at a disadvantage in comparison to maintaining continuous augmentation.
