I rub my face after Botox injection. Should I be okay?

Hi, thank you for your question.I agree, a single rub to the forehead shouldn't change the result. The concern for rubbing is that the product is displaced inferiorly toward the lid elevator muscle. I tell my patients not to rub over their eyes right after Botox as this can theoretically spread the Botox and cause a lid droop. However, a massage of upper forehead should not matter nor should touching of the face or a couple of little rubs. No use worrying, just try to not rub over your eyes from now on. You will probably be just fine

rub away to your heart's desire...nothing bad will happen to the botox...as for the price, call around to some local doctors...price varies significantly in different parts of the country...

As long as the rub wasn't aggressive or long, I think you will be just fine. We don't recommend massages or aggressive rubbing after Botox for about 24 hours, but just an off-hand accidental touch won't affect it. Cost depends on where you are located and who performed the injections.
