Can your body reject botox after long term use?

Question

i started using botox 3 yrs ago I done botox 4 times always in the same clinic the same doctor, 1st it lasted 8 mths, 2nd 6 mths, 3rd 1 mth than he re filled me again and lasted 6 mths it was not only my problem but all my friends experienced the same problem in the same clinic with the same doctor, now i did it again and it only lasted 6 weeks again and the doctor said that my body is rejecting botox is that possible or maybe the dose is not strong enough cause even my friend has the same problem

Botox should last 3-4 months, if it doesnt continue to last, then a change in dose or product may be needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In my experience,  when Botox isn't lasting long enough, the dosing needs to be increased. There is sometimes a resistance that builds up, and I try switching to Dysport to see if this makes any difference. If it is the same in all your friends simultaneously,  then it's probably related to changes in dosing by your doctor or he/she is getting the Botox from a different or illegal source. Sometimes a very athletic person burns up the Botox quicker I've seen.

There may be slight fluctuations in botox duration. Extremely active patients such as physical trainers or competitive weight lifters may find shorter duration. However, for the vast majority of the patients in a particular clinic is experiencing less than 3 months duration, then you may want to consider another experienced and expert physician injector.

Botox usually lasts between 3-4 months. I do see in some patients (especially personal trainers) that it may last a shorter period of time.
