I've done some research and found a treatment that involves reduction of the size of the temporal muscles to decrease the width of the top of the head to give it a more oval-like look, but I can't find more than one surgeon that offers this treatment. I'm really hoping I can get this done for myself. Attached are images of the treatment.
Answer: Facial Contouring with Fillers (Radiesse, Voluma, Bellafill), Sculptra, implants, fat Botox and fillers can go a long way in altering the shape of ones face. See an expert to determine what treatments would ultimately give you the best results. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Can my head width be reduced? Is reduction of temporal muscles an option? (photos) Thank you for sharing your question. Much like masseter hypertrophy, the temporalis muscle can be injected with Botox to weaken it and cause atrophy of the tissues. Your candidacy would have to be determined with an in-person examination of your tissues at rest and with animation. Hope this helps.

Answer: Reduction of the upper third of a head Thanks for the photographs. It appears that you have an absolutely normally shaped skull, it is just that the portion of your lower face is considerably narrower. I don't believe that decreasing the size of the temporalis muscle is going to do the trick for you as it is the shape of your skull that determines the proportions. I would recommend that you go for an evaluation by a plastic surgeon like myself so he or she can determine what can be done with the least invasive methodology. In many cases fat grafting to the face can lead to improved proportions of the face And not only make it wider but also add length which in turn produces better proportions. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City

Answer: Head reshaping using minimally invasive and surgical options Dear person511, Thanks for sharing your photos. Your desire to reduce head width seems to have been helped with an otoplasty. Further width reduction could be obtained with an injectable muscle relaxer like Botox to the temporalis muscles if they widen upon clenching your teeth. Even with this recontouring, the widest width of your skull bone appears above the ears and there is no easy or non-surgical option to reduce the circumference of your skull.Consider a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. All the best!
