Can I replace crown by veneer?

Question

2 month before I had root canal in my front tooth..because my helf tooth were broken in an accident.. dentist placed crown over it.and I'm not happy with that..it's paining to me..can I have other options for my problem..like can I replace crown by a veneer?

You cannot replace a crown with a veneer.  If you are having pain with the tooth I would have it evaluated by a root canal specialist  (endodontist).  It might need to have an extraction and implant or the bite could be high. Call your dentist soon.

Hello there,You can not replace a crown with a veneer.  However, you can replace your current crown with a crown that is more aesthetically pleasing.  Always look at before and after photos when selecting your dentist. u can replace veneer with crown but not crown with veneer. as u r not happy with yr current crown texture and colour , tell yr dentist. he will replace it with new crown as per yr requirement.
