From the beginning, Sarah Thompson, DMD, has dedicated her career to cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Thompson has a passion for excellence and perfection, and is known nationwide for creating natural, yet stunning smiles, that dramatically change her patients' lives forever.
I love my teeth now. I had 3 porcelain crowns placed by Dr. Thompson and what a difference 3 teeth make. They were done right in the front on the top. She matched them to my other teeth flawlessly and they actually look like my real teeth. The only difference is that there are no gaps and no little pits at the bottom edge like I used to have and that used to always annoy me. I am not the review type, but after my 5th compliment, I felt like I owed her this review.
I work in television and I selected this dentist because of the pictures on her website. Always hated the dentist, but always had pretty decent teeth. My natural teeth were good enough to get me a job in television, but with HD now a days, I had grown more and more insecure about how my teeth look on television. I had found myself smiling less so that I would show my teeth less. This did not gone over well at work. So I made up my mind to get porcelain veneers. I went to Dr. Thompson and got 10 veneers. They did 4 Impress veneers in the front and Emac on the surrounding 6 veneers. My teeth look great and nobody knows that I had work done. They just ask me what I use to whiten my teeth and I nicely tell them Crest Whitestrips.
So glad I found this office because I was blown away. My teeth were pretty healthy before I went here, but they were yellow with brown spots on them. I had a chip in the front tooth and the one to the left was dark. Dr. Sarah told me that I needed a root canal on the dark tooth because the root was dead. She gave me sedation and did the root canal, along with 8 crowns. This gave me the beautiful smile that I have now. I told her to do the crowns instead of the veneers because I felt like the crowns were going to hold up better since I grind my teeth. I waited a couple years to leave my review so that I would know hoe these things would hold up. I didn't want to leave a review a week later or a month later, then the darn things fall off the following day. At this point, it's been just over two years and I haven't had a single problem with these crowns. (except that about 3 months after I got them done, I was having some sensitivity and I needed to go back to Dr. Thompson. She made an adjustment that took her about 15 minutes). She said that adjustments were rare, but every patient is different. Other than the adjustment, I have had a great experience. I love my teeth and would recommend.
I stated out with nice teeth when I was a child. After a bad relationship, substance abuse and eventually rehab, my teeth were left in horrible condition. SInce that rough patch of my life 15 years ago, I was left with teeth that were all there, but just looked like crap with chips in them, browning and stains everywhere. I used to be so attractive before I ruined my teeth, so I guess I just wanted that look back and that's what I went to Soft Touch Dentistry for. Ahead of time, I sent Dr. Thompson photos of my teeth a brief description of what I wanted to change about them. I was glad that I had this option, because going this route meant that I didn't have to pay the $50 consult fee that's charged if you come in in-person. She looked at my teeth and told me that she could fix them. SHe sent me some photos of other teeth that she had done like mine and I was convinced by this. The same day that she got back to me, I called and scheduled an appointment to get started on my 14 veneers (10 on top and 4 on bottom). Three weeks later, I flew to St. Louis (from Miami Florida) for my appointment. 2 hours after getting on a plane in Miami, I was in St. Louis being picked up from the airport. 30 minutes later, I was in the dental chair, meeting Dr. Thompson and going over what I wanted done. After an exam and cleaning and x-rays by here dental hygienist, Dr. Thompson began preparing my teeth for veneers. About 2 hours later, Dr. Thompson was presenting me with a mirror and I started crying when I saw my teeth. They were only my temporary veneers, but they looked and felt great. I felt like I was a toad that had just been kissed. My appearance was forever transformed. I walked out of that office, and was taken to the Four Seasons hotel in St. Louis which is free for all her patients. I left on a plane the next morning and got nothing but compliments from strangers and coworkers, and I got applauses from my family and close friends, when they saw my teeth. I have since sent two more people to doctor Thompson since. I told them to be sure to leave a review of the experience, as soon as they are done with everything.
I have always hated my teeth and finally decided to do something about them. I researched online for about 8 months before finding Dr. Sarah Thompson. She came with excellent reviews and excellent pictures of past cases. I gave her office a call and decided to take a chance. I thought she was going to tell me that I needed to get my teeth pulled and dentures put in their place, but much to my surprise, she told me that she could crown all of my bad teeth in the front and make me look a lot better. I trusted her to do this and I am very pleased with the results. THrough my whole experience, the one thing that sticks out most to me was how quick it was and how nice everyone was. It was one of those businesses where you go in and you can tell that everyone likes their job and is there to help you. Really positive energy. lady. Happy I went to her.
I've always had horrible teeth for as far back as I can remember. Everyone in my family had bad teeth and I always felt like it was just hereditary. Only problem was, it seemed like I was the only one in my family that really cared about how bad my teeth looked, so I decided to get them fixed. I went on this website and found out that I had a very talented dentist in my own backyard. I read the reviews on Dr. THompson and then reviewed her pictures of the patients she had done. I just had the feeling that this place might be the right place, so I made an appointment and was very impressed with how smart she was. She told me that she could fix the appearance of my teeth and that she could do it in two appointments. I looked at a couple photos of her past patients and I pointed to one person in particular and ask her if she could give me a result like that person. She told me that the results would not be exact because I was a different person, but that the similarities would be about 90% the same in appearance. I opted to make an appointment to get started in 3 weeks and I went ahead with the procedure. In the end, the results were better than what I had asked for. I am very very pleased with my results. Glad I chose this doctor.
I wasn't terribly insecure about my teeth to begin with, but I was kind of sick and tired of people mentioning them. Never any strangers would say anything, just my family would ride me about them and my girl always made little comments here and there. The main problem was that I had some spaces between my front teeth and they were on the mildly yellow side too, and one was chipped. I ended up opting for 7 porcelain veneers and 1 porcelain crown. I spent bout 75 minutes total for one appointment and 35 minutes total for the second and final appointment. My teeth are now something that I show off. I think these things make me look thirty something now. So glad I got them done. I don't know if Dr. Thompson is the best at this, but in my mind, she is the best because it was like she worked miracle or something. My teeth went from being a punch-line in my family to me being the smile model of the family. lol.
After having my son 4 years ago, I felt like I was not the same me. I wasn't depressed or anything, but just felt like I was getting a little old and not that same fun young me. So, I started to research some things online about how to fix my teeth. Though, most people would never say anything about them, I would always find people staring at them when I would talk. I was so self-conscious about them because of the spaces and the color and the shape of them. I searched for a dentist that I could trust for about 2 years, before I found Dr. Thompson's office. The thing that she had over every other dentist that I had gone to for opinions, was that she had actual pictures of people she had treated and some models from previous cases laying around. To me this meant that this doctor knew what she was doing. She was confident and very nice. SO I felt comfortable enough to tell her exactly what I didn't like about my natural teeth and exactly what I wanted to change about them. SHe checked my gums and teeth and x-rays, then without hesitation, she explained that she was capable of doing just what I wanted. I had had other dentist tell me that they could change my teeth, but that had always made me pretty nervous about starting the work. But this was the first time that a dentist told me this and I was relaxed about beginning treatment. I got impression, then I went home and thought about it for a day, then called to book the procedure 4 weeks out. Once my appointment came 4 weeks later, I went in and it took her about 90 minutes to shape my teeth for the porcelain veneers. At the end of the appointment, Dr. Thompson put temporary veneers on me that looked great. She told me that I was to come back in 2 weeks to have my permanent porcelain veneers cemented on and if there was anything that I was unhappy about with the appearance of them, then I had the whole two weeks to let her know. Well, needless to say, I wanted to change nothing about these teeth because I loved them (even though they were the temporaries). Over the next 2 weeks, I got 5 complements on my teeth from five different people that I never knew even noticed my teeth. After 2 and a half weeks had passed, I returned to Dr. Thompson for the final porcelain veneers. She showed me how they looked on the model and I thought they looked fantastic. She removed the temporary veneers and put the real veneers in their place without gluing them down yet. She showed me the mirror and I was impressed. She took them out and asked me how I liked them and I told her that I loved them. About 90 minutes later, she had cemented all of the porcelain veneers on and gave me a mirror. I took one look at these veneers and I was glad that I came to her. The veneers were whiter than the temporary ones, but looked just like the temporary ones, just more defined. Now months later, I still love my teeth and I'm glad I went through with it. I still go to Dr. Thompson's office for check-ups and I feel like I am always going to go to this office. That's why I'm proud to leave this review for them.
Since childhood, I have had yellow teeth because of Fluoride pills that I was regularly given as a child. My parents thought they were doing the best for me then, but that was before studies showed that these pills not only made your teeth strong, but also had the ability to irreversibly stain teeth in children like me. When my parents gave me these pills as a child, they had no idea that this would cause me to still have deep yellow stains on my teeth nearly 40 years later. I have always been embarrassed to smile, covering my mouth whenever someone told a joke that was too funny to not laugh, or whenever I was happy about something. I never smiled in pictures and I couldn't stand selfies. I shared this with my husband many times over the years and I've always been happy to know that he loves me no matter how my teeth look. My kids only knew me one way and their love was unconditional as well. But the problem was that I did not like my teeth, and I always wanted to look better, to feel attractive, to feel good about the way my face looked. After years of looking for the right dentist, I found Dr. Sarah Thompson. I went to at least 9 other dentists and listened to what they had to say about what they would do for me. The offices ranged from the very nice to the very average. The years of experience of the doctors ranged from about 5 years to 30 years. One think always stuck out to me though. Of all the office that I went to, Dr. Thompson was the only dentist that could show me proof of what she was capable of. For example, one dentist claimed to have 25 years of experience, but he couldn't show me a single before and after pic of an actual patient of his. He could describe what he planned to do, but could not show me anyone's teeth that he had done. He showed me one model of a past patient's teeth that had the date on it of 1998. Needless to say, I did not select him. A couple of other dentists at other places that I went showed me beautiful pictures of patients with veneers, but when I questioned them more deeply, they admitted that these pictures were of models and not actual patients of theirs. I found two other dentist that had a couple before and after pictures, but I didn't feel that the afters really looked that good. So that brings me to Dr. Thompson. From the moment I called her office, I felt like something was right here. The young lady that answered the phone seemed so nice and considerate. I made it clear that I just wanted a consultation and she was fine with that. I went in for an exam to get Dr. Thompson's opinion on what she would do with my teeth. She examined them for about 10 minutes, and checked them with her instruments. She then asked me what my goals were. I told her that I wanted to look beautiful for my husband and I wanted to not be so embarrassed to smile. (This was the first time that a dentist actually asked me what "I" wanted). She grabbed my hand and smiled at me. She then reached for her computer mouse with her other hand and started to click through some of her many veneer cases that she had done. In these pictures were several patients that had started with fluoride stained yellow teeth, as well. There before and after photos looked astonishing. I was blown away. This was the first time that I actually saw before and after pictures that looked this good. The photos looked so good, I asked her if these were her real patients. She replied, "of course." Then asked her assistant to retrieve her iphone from her office. Her assistant returned to the room with her phone and Dr. Sarah proceeded to scroll through her pictures and found some of those patients on her phone. The pictures on her phone showed more before and afters and I could tell that the pictures were taken at the same office that I was sitting in. This was by far the best experience that I had had. So I scheduled to return to the office in 3 weeks to start the process. When I returned 3 weeks later, I ended up choosing to get 20 teeth done. She did all of my teeth in one appointment and placed temporaries on them at the end of that appointment. I returned about 10 days later to have all my permanents cemented on. She cemented my permanents on and they looked just like my temporaries, but they were whiter and better. So, after the initial consult, I was done in 2 appointments. My teeth looked like night and day. When my husband saw my teeth, he was afraid to kiss me. He thought that he may mess them up or something. (His fear didn't last very long though). My teenage children, who I thought didn't even think anything of my teeth, were nearly in tears because of how good they looked. I was in tears when I saw their reactions. I loved my experience at this office. Sorry this was so long, but I am not the reviewing type, so I didn't know how to say all of that in a few words. :)
I went to 3 different dentists before choosing Soft Touch Dentistry. I chose this place because of the customer service and doctor's reputation. Dr. Thompson examined my mouth, gave me some options, ranging from inexpensive to expensive and let me know the pros and cons of each. I chose Invisalign because it was an option right in the middle (price wise) and it allowed me to keep all of my tooth structure. I am really please with my results and I would recommend this place.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having issues with your veneers. I would recommend getting in touch with a dentist, ASAP. If you do not feel comfortable with your current dentist, then I would recommend finding a new one because it sounds like you are in need of a thorough dental cleaning and exam to make sure that there is not decay building up behind your gum lines. If decay is present, you are at risk of harming your gums, which causes recession of your gum line. I would recommend making an appointment for a dental check up ASAP. I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
Veneers can round out your smile and give you a whiter smile. I would recommend researching some before and after photos on RealSelf to find a talented cosmetic dentist that is capable of giving you the results that you are looking for. Don't be afraid to travel to another city or state to achieve your dream smile. I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
I would recommend veneers for your front teeth. They would very easily close that gap, but would include some trimming of your current teeth. Often times, patients are apprehensive about having their teeth shaved or prepped, but when you are placing a protective shield, like a veneer or crown over your prepped tooth, you are not necessarily increasing your chances of a cavity or tooth failure. I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
Based on the photo, I cannot see a huge difference in the teeth. I would recommend taking some more photos in natural light, so that I may see the difference that you're talking about. Generally speaking, I match veneers and crowns pretty regularly without issues. The dentist that completed the cosmetic work likely used the same material for the crown and veneers. I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
First of all, your teeth are not disgusting. They are stained, but I have treated cases much worse than your case. I would recommend doing a little research on RealSelf to find a dentist that has experience treating cases like yours. This best research that you can do is comparing before and after photos from doctors that actually have treated cases like yours. If you just walk into a random dental office, you have no idea of what you are going to get, if you haven't inspected their before and after photos online. I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
