Hello. Female 5”3 145 pounds age 39 super healthy. I had a Breast Breast Augmentation May 21. There is definitely something wrong with my left breast. I can feel the implant on my side. It feels very uncomfortable and it’s in the way with my arm. I can not go without a bra. I can feel the placement is off. I went back for a fallow up, the nurse told me that is just how my breast pocket is which I don’t believe since it’s created by the surgeon. HELP Thank you,
Answer: Implants You need an examination to see what is happening and if it this normal. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and discussing your concerns.

Answer: Good result is expected after revision surgery Thank you for your question. Breast augmentation surgery with smooth surface implant may cause the implant pocket to get gradually widened after the surgery. To prevent the pocket widening, it is necessary to wear a proper supporting bra to control the implant position for several months after the surgery. If such effort doesn’t solve the problem, revision surgery to close the excess space should be considered. I can see that you are very concerned about your surgery outcome, but I can say that properly conducted revision surgery with experienced doctor will bring you good results.

Answer: Possible lower pole tightness. HI there, I came by your question and I'll do my best to answer it. Based on the pictures, it almost looks like the left lower pole of your breast is still tight and the implant hasn't "settled". If the implant feels like it's going into your armpit as oppose to the bottom of your breast, sometimes it could be from tightness of the tissue that is still present because of inadequate release or capsular contracture on one side. However, looking from the frontal view, they look pretty symmetric and evenly space. Implants can take up to year to stretch out the skin below so that can still be possible. As long as the pain continue to improve, I wouldn't worry about it. You show take more prospective pictures every 2 weeks to see how the breast shape is changing for your own records so you have something to compare to. Hope that answer your question. AC

Answer: Lateral Implant Displacement It is really difficult to assess with the photos you have posted. An exam can really tell us if the implant pocket is open too wide. Another way for your to tell is to lay down and see what happens. If you have hollowing medially (on the inside of your breast) and not on the other they you may have lateral displacement. Hope that helps.

Answer: Implant displacement Dear wittkoppj, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
