I am 55 years old with current saline implants. My current size is 405 and 425 saline implants and I am going to move to the gummy implant. My doctor has chosen the 600cc moderate round smooth gummy implant for me. I want to have good cleavage and good fullness. Can we get this with this implant or do I need to move up in size? With this exchange, it give me 80 to almost 100cc more but I don't want to come out with almost the same thing as I went in with for what it is costing me.
Answer: Size If you do the math, you are going up much more than 80 and 100 cc's. Please do not choose an implant that is too large and heavy for your frame and tissue. Otherwise, you will have neck and shoulder pain and your breasts will sag with the extra weight. Also, you did not post photos, so I cannot be specific.

Answer: Increasing cleavage Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. It is unlikely that adding more volume is going to increase your cleavage. You may be better off with a simultaneous lift or possibly fat transfers. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implant size Dear punkins0831, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Cleavage comes from diameter and fullness comes from profile As long as the implant diameter gets close to the midline, you get cleavage even from a conservative profile like a moderate. But "fullness" comes from the implant profile and generally moderates are designed to be the most natural and conservative and high profiles/extra highs/and ultra highs are built for more fullness. You should bring goal pictures to your surgoen and discuss this again.
