Hardness and lumps six weeks after Liposuction.When will this hardness subside? What else can I do?

Firmness can last about 6-8 weeks or longer as your body recovers. Good work on performing massage and compresses. If the firmness doesn't go away, please see your surgeon to discuss your results. You may want to ask them now about what you can do to soften areas of concern.

It sounds like you are doing everything that you can at this point. It can take 3 months or longer for some areas to soften and smooth out after liposuction. Massage is the best treatment which you are doing. I have patients massage the areas of concern 2-3 times a day for 2-3 minutes at a time. There are small vibrating devices that can make self massage a bit easier to do at home. Brookstone used to make a pinpoint personal massager which worked really well. Any type of fine vibration device like an egg you might find at another type of store works well and is not that expensive.

You are still in the early healing phase. Things continue to soften and smooth out for a few months after lipo. Continue massaging and doing the other things you are doing, and be sure to follow up with your surgeon. 

Even at 6 weeks you are still fairly early in the healing phase from liposuction.  It seems like yuou are doing all the right things.  It may take up to 6 months to see the final result.  Be sure to follow closely with your surgeon during this time.
