I am 163cm and 63kg. I'm considering getting my body contoured with a full body lipo. I don't know if it's a myth, but I've that a person gains weight more the places that have not been taking any fat from since there would be more fat cells. My aim is to have a more hourglass figure. So I'm hoping that if I get fat removed from my body and not from my buttock and breasts that I can maybe gain some more weight there or at least they would look bigger after the lipo. Thank you in advance!
Answer: Is it possible to gain weight/volume in the Brest and buttock if I get a full body lipo. Based upon your desires, the most reasonable approach would be to liposuction areas of your body and have that fat transferred to your buttocks and possibly your breasts.Try to research this to find the surgeon who consistently produces the results you would expect. Look at reviews on this site and see who gets the surgery right every time. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of Brazilian buttlifts each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Fat distribution after liposuction This is a bit of a myth that you have described that I have heard from many people, but I have never seen in clinical practice. It is true that you no longer have the capacity to create new fat cells. Therefore, the removal of fat cells via liposuction results in a permanent change, sort of. When liposuction is performed though, not all of the fat is removed from an area. Some fatty tissue needs to be left behind to maintain a normal appearance. Those fat cells still have a capacity to grow larger. New ones don't form, but old ones can still get bigger. So having liposuction everywhere except you buttocks and breasts will not allow you to selectively grow tissue in these areas with just a little weight gain. Sounds good, but it just won't happen. Much of the fat distribution patterns are also hormonally and genetically determined. If you preferentially gain weight in your hips, have your hips liposuctioned, and then gain weight. You will again gain weight in your hips. If someone tells you otherwise, they are mistaken.

Answer: Having abdominal fat liposuctioned may make your breasts (look?) bigger I have a patient that I removed about 2L from her abdomen and her family swore up and down I did a breast augmentation. Other patients notice no change. The key is that my "bigger breast" patient gained a couple pounds after liposuction, AND the next place she ALWAYS had gained fat was her breasts. The fat cells were just no longer there in the abdomen for her to get more weight there. So if you want the bigger boobs, you can only get them if you are already "programmed" to put fat there, it's not necessarily a cause and effect. If your surgeon is extremely aggressive, and suctions any fat lateral and just under the breast as well as the abdomen, that helps too - if your body is a few inches smaller then your breast will look bigger. But be careful - you don't want to get fat arms!

Answer: Where fat gos after liposuction After an extensive liposuction, added fat and weight may go to multiple places. It may go to breast and buttocks but it may go to shoulders and arms. You have no control of this. Over all, the shoulders and arms seem to be the more likely areas of additional fat deposition. Understand that when fat is gained after liposuction it will go anywhere there are fat cells including the areas that were treated. Liposuction may remove 70% of the fat in an area but never 100%. It is necessary to keep some fat in the areas treated so all is nice and smooth. If you have excess caloric intake you will definitely deposit some fat in all fat cells in your body. You cannot direct or select or depend upon fat goin just to breats and buttoclks. You may be lucky and that is where additional fat will be deposited but there is no way to direct or control this. It would be nice if we could control this. Possibly some day this will be possibly but not in the forseeable futurs. My Best, Dr C
