Would veneers help to close 2-3 mm gap between canine and first premolar? (Photo)

Question

I wore braces around 2 years ago, but the dentist removed them while I still had a slight gap. Also, I stopped wearing my retainers for a long time so the gap grew wider. I want to avoid braces , so could I get veneers or is the gap too big. I also have small lateral incisors ):

Two veneers would not be sufficient to close this space and make it look natural.  I would recommend a minimum of eight veneers to close the space, give a natural look, and provide perfect symmetry for both sides.  You would have a beautiful result by doing it this way.  Best of luck.

Hello there,I would recommend ten veneers to close the spaces that you have.  This is something that can be fixed in one appointment, with one follow-up appointment. Porcelain veneers can close the gaps of 2 to 3 milimeters between your teeth, however in order to have a balanced width to length ratio, you need to have at least a minimal of 4 teeth done, according to your before veneer picture. Meaning you have to go from your peg lateral to second premolar for veneers. If you like the shape and color of your original teeth and are only dissatisfied with the gaps, your best cosmetic dentistry option is to have tooth movement with braces or invisalign, however it might take some time!The pros of porcelain veneer is you get instant orthodontics, of course the dentist can alter the color of your teeth to a more brighter whiter shade and in many cases improve the shape of you teeth. The cons are: It is an irreversible procedure, and tooth enamel needs to be cut, to correct gap and shape and still look natural !The pros of orthodontics is: No tooth removal, you keep your original tooth structure, gaps will be closed.The cons of orthodontics: the space can appear again, if you do not wear retainer ! If you do not like the color of your teeth orthodontics do not change the color, if you do not like the shape, the length or width of your tooth, your tooth movement does not correct that, in certain cases possibility of root damage can appear if moving your tooth too fast and lastly but not least it will take TIME.

ideal option for u is invislign to close these spaces. but if u want quick result in that case best option is veneers. in yr case for best result minimum 8 veneers are required.

I would recommend having several veneers to close the gap.  That gap is pretty large, and if you were to just do 1-2 veneers, you will look like you have 1-2 large teeth that are not proportional.  If you do 10 veneers across the front and sides on the top, you can "cheat" the space.  It also looks like your lateral incisor is small, so you could make that look more proportional as well.  It's difficult to see how your other teeth are since I have not completed an exam, and only have one photo took look at.  I do recommend that you find a dentist very experienced in veneers and in cosmetics.  Look at the before and after photos of the doctor, and make sure you do your research!
