Would veneers help to close 2-3 mm gap between canine and first premolar? (Photo)

I wore braces around 2 years ago, but the dentist removed them while I still had a slight gap. Also, I stopped wearing my retainers for a long time so the gap grew wider. I want to avoid braces , so could I get veneers or is the gap too big. I also have small lateral incisors ):
