I'm considering undergoing an areola reduction as mine are large in contrast to the size of my breasts and also are rather puffy - I would like them to sit flat. I just wanted to ask first if losing weight would shrink the areola area, and help with the puffiness? Thanks

Nipple piercings will need to be removed for areola reduction surgery. You can have the nipples re-pierced once you are healed from surgery. Your surgeon will let you know when it is safe.

Areolas (and breasts!) come in all different sizes and shapes and yours are normal. The areola seems to be positioned appropriately on the breast mound and is harmonious in size to the rest of the breast. There is no way to nonsurgically reduce the size of the areola. Hope this helps!
