i am only 15 and am in pain from the sagging and weight and shape of my breasts. they have been this way since i developed and i don't know what to do.
Answer: Breast ptosis I appreciate your question and am sorry.Breasts are often asymmetric and some more than others. Also as you grow they may be saggy.I would wait until you are fully grown and you may want to consider a breast lift and possibly an implant to even things out.The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz

Answer: Breast Lift or Reduction Hello young lady! I am sorry you are having pain from your large sagging breast. It sounds like you may be a candidate for a breast reduction and the weight of your breast as well as where they are on your chest is causing you pain. Please consider having an evaluation and after a physical examination it will become clear how to counsel you.

Answer: Sagging heavy breasts It certainly sounds like something that you inherited that caused you to develop this way. Because you are 15 your breasts most likely will continue to grow and could even become more saggy. Without knowing some other information it would be hard to give you specific advice. However, if you are of "normal" body weight for your height then a breast reduction may be required. Typically waiting until you are fully developed is recommended. If you are overweight, weight loss may help with some of the discomfort. You should discuss your concerns first with your primary doctor and then the two of you can decide if you need a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breast ptosis Sorry if you truly have significant ptosis. I would suggest waiting a few more years until you are at least 18 or so before considering any type of lift.

Answer: I had grade 3 ptosis since I was 12. Sorry to hear though breast shape is inherited and an unfortunate few will have a very dependent nipple as the breast develops. The problem can be with the need to always wear a bra to have a nice shape. When the breast has finished developing you might benefit from a small reduction and a lift depending on you eventual cup size. Until then exercise, keep a lean body mass, and find bras you can enjoy and feel confident in.
