I'm trying to see if I should go through the process of a breast reduction. I have upper and middle back pain often as well as indents in my shoulders from bra straps. I also just don't like the way my large breasts look. Last I was fitted I am a 36DD. I'm 5'6" and 175lbs. I have had a child as well and breast feed for 8 weeks. I'm 10 months postpartum. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Answer: Mastopexy Hi there, thank you for your question! Based on your photos, you would definitely be a candidate for a mastopexy (breast reduction) I would recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in person to review your expectations and be evaluated.

Answer: Meeting with a surgeon would be the important next step Hi Vivid785010, Breast reduction can make a huge change in back/neck/shoulder pain and bra strap grooving. Breast reduction, which removes breast volume from each side while reshaping the breast and removing skin, can minimize or alleviate many of these symptoms. The photo shows that you have right to left breast differences, which can also be improved with an asymmetric reduction. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, who can examine you and discuss your goals and the expected post-op results. Hope this helps. Answer: Breast reduction Thanks for your question! I do think that you could benefit from a breast reduction and lift. We could reduce the size of the areola, lift the breast an get you a really nice shape and size. Please find a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation. Good luck!

Answer: Bellesoma Breast Reduction The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast Reduction Thank you for your question. A breast reduction is an excellent procedure for individuals with very large heavy breasts that contribute to upper back and shoulder pain. In your case, your body is still recovering from childbirth. If you are planning to have more children over the next few years I would recommend waiting until you are no longer planning on having more children. Your breasts change with each pregnancy, breast feeding and weight changes. Most women who have this procedure are very happy, their back pain and neck pain improve and they find it easier to exercise. Be sure to get an evaluation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Good luck to you
