Would a patient need a blood transfusion after a Tummy Tuck, or a Brazilian Butt Lift?

I've been reading of RS, of how some Doctors would give patients blood transfusion after having a Tummy Tuck and Brazilian Butt Lift. I've seen videos of these surgeries and none of them seem like a patient would lose a lot of blood. I want answers. Does a person require a blood transfusion after a Tummy Tuck and Brazilian Butt Lift?

It is very rare for a patient to lose enough blood during one of these procedures to require a transfusion. I have never had to transfuse any of my patients undergoing one of these procedures.

No way should you lose enough blood to require a transfusion with any amount of plastic surgery. Proper technique should minimize blood loss by cauterizing any bleeders as they are encountered. While unexpected complications could potentially lead to blood loss requiring transfusion with any procedure, any surgeon that knows ahead of time they will cause so much blood loss as to require one is not someone I would allow to operate on anyone I care about! It would be possible but very unusual.  I
would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is
most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of
these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as

It is very very rare to need a blood transfusion with either tummy tuck or BBl procedures. There would have been a significant complication to warrant blood. Both procedures are usually performed with minimal blood loss. I do recommend finding a board certified plastic surgeon to perform your surgeries.

I have never had to or heard of having to give a blood transfusion after an uncomplicated tummy tuck with or without a Brazilian Butt Lift. It would certainly seem like such a need is very rare unless there have been postoperative complications or it was a very large volume liposuction harvest for the Brazilian Butt Lift.

It is highly unlikely that you would need a blood transfusion after a tummy tuck and Brazilian Butt Lift, but unexpected bleeding may occur. Assuming you are healthy enough to have these surgeries and if you did have some bleeding, it would be rare to have enough bleeding to need a transfusion. Express your concerns to your plastic surgeon during your consultation.
