I am currently 11 dpo from surgery with Dr. Mitchell and could not be happier with my decision to choose him as my surgeon. From consultation, to surgery, to post op appointment… Dr. Mitchell has been very knowledgeable, kind and caring. Due to weight loss I had severe sagging in my breasts and opted for a breast lift. I was not interested in implants so was expecting from what I’ve seen elsewhere to probably really go down in size due to the nature of my lack of volume and excess skin. Dr. Mitchell informed me of an alternative technique called auto-augmentation (or dermal suspension) which takes the excess skin tissue and redistributes it throughout the breast to give better projection without the need of an implant. I chose to do this technique and am absolutely blown away by my results. I also opted to have liposuction to the axillae, abdomen and flanks. My results have turned out better than I could have ever imagined and I often get emotional thinking about how this man has improved my quality of life. There are no proper words to describe what he has given me. My recovery has been easy with very little discomfort! He is a very talented surgeon and I highly recommend him. I will definitely continue to see Dr. Mitchell for any potential future surgeries. Prior to choosing Dr. Mitchell I spent years researching trying to find the right surgeon.

Some updated pics ranging from 2-3 years later. No issues. Crazy how much this enhanced my self esteem. It is expensive and I’m halfway through paying it off but It’s by far the best thing I’ve ever done for myself

Booked my tummy tuck/breast augmentation for Jan 5/2021 and I'm so excited!
Just went in for blood work and now just impatiently waiting for my preop appointment in Dec! I choose Dr.Mitchell from First Glance in Winnipeg!

Urgh..my surgery has been pushed back until Jan 18th...I know it’s only 13 extra days waiting but it means that my anxiety has more time to run around

Everything has gone absolutely amazing! My recovery has been a breeze! Even though I’m swollen right now, I look fantastic and I’m so excited to see it just get better and better!

The girls seem to be fairing far worse than my TT. Although I’m swollen ever so slightly in my core, my tummy has been stellar and easy for recovery! Probably because my surgeon, Dr. Mitchell is extremely talented and knows his stuff!

Made it to ten days post op! Everything is going really well. Today I am kinda swollen, not by much though! My implants are still sitting kinda high but have definitely have started to descend. I’m still quite bruised under my breasts but it’s not painful or anything, just kinda ugly lol. I don’t need any pain meds but today I am taking just regular ol’ Ibuprofen just to help with the little bit of swelling I woke up to! I can’t stand straight yet but I can walk around the house just fine!
Had a unfortunate lil bump this morning, one of my higher stretch marks had split and was kinda oozy, but that happened so often during my 3 pregnancies that taking care of it is second nature!
Otherwise life is dandy and jus making sure I stay on top of my water consumption which is hard because I usually just don’t drink coffee all day because I’m weird lol

I’m on day 12 now and the gauze that was an my belly button has fallen off! This was probably the thing I was most worried about but by how it looks now when it heals it’s going to be super cute! I was so worried that I was going to have an outtie but so thankful it will definitely be an innie! I’m quite swollen today so lots of water and ibuprofen for me!

I have my two week post op on Monday, I will post then!

Yesterday was great! Dr.Mitchell seemed to be super excited with my results! Had some superficial stitches taken out which has made the binder much easier to wear! (4 removed in total and the worst ones were one on each hip)
I get the green light to moisturize the remaining stretch marked skin which I have to say as helped BIG TIME in standing up straight and the tightness of the skin! No pain and very minimal swelling, usually at the end of the day. Still doing light activities but moving around and driving with ease!
My implants are starting to bottom out and the bruising is subsiding! My incision under my breast is paper thin and so dang small! I’m extremely impressed and thankful Dr.Mitchell took such fantastic care of ensuring my incisions weren’t lumpy or grotesque!
I’m still instructed to wear my belly binder 24/7 for another 2 weeks (which I’m totally on board lol) and then only when I’m doing activities or when I’m at work! My compression bra has to be worn for another for weeks which I’m totally down for lol i am in no way, shape or form wanting to wear a normal bra!
I’m so thankful for Dr.Mitchell and the entire staff at The First Glance Clinic, they have been absolutely amazing this whole entire journey and I’m so thankful to have chosen them!
My next appointment in on Monday and I’ll be able to post scar pictures as my steri strips will be coming off and I will be taught how to properly massage and care for my tummy tuck scar!

Saw Dr. Mitchell today! Everything is all gravy and biscuits! I'm healing very well, standing up straight and given the green light to start deep massaging my incisions with moisturizer, scar removal and vitamin E cream! (I'm to do the deep massages and creams twice daily).My next post op will be in three weeks time so I thought I'd post weekly shots/updates of my scar and how the products are helping it along! I'm using Mederma scar removal cream, Neutrogena hyaluronic acid hydrogel body cream and just your every day vitamin E cream. I don't really care about the scar to be honest, it can stay so long as it lies flat lol

So far so good!

I have been using maderna and vitamin e oil for about two weeks now and it has definitely made a big difference! I am now back to work and only have minor swelling in the evening! My implants still haven't really dropped but they could take up to three months to do so, so

I am really not that worried !

I’m almost a year and half out from my TT and BA! My results are amazing and Dr.Mitchell is kick a$$ as a plastic surgeon! Seriously the most amazing beside manners, took the best care of me and I’m amazed at the results! Im actually going back to get my scar touched up and to talk about a breast lift, implant removal and fat grafting..turns out, I’m not much of a implant kinda girl lol Although they look awesome, I’m just uncomfortable! I know he’ll give me amazing results and I’ll be put right to ease! I can’t recommend him enough, if you’re in Manitoba, do yourself a favour and book with Dr. Mitchell!! You’ll fall in love with the entire staff The First Glance Clinic to be honest!

I got my breast reduction 2 days ago, i was terrified , my boobs have been big since I can remember at a very young age , and then when I lost round 30 Pounds they just became saggy completely which at 19 years old is discouraging , being so young and having such saggy boobs was so hard on my confidence, I was a 30g/32f but I didn't have much tissue my size was mostly due to all the loose skin from weight loss. My surgery went good I woke up crying for some reason probably just because I've never had surgery nd it was confusing to wake up and be In pain, I stayed in the hospital for about three hours then went home. The first night was hard to sleep I am not used to sleeping on my back and the drains were in my way I ended up waking p at 4am and having to take 2 Tylenol 3 to fall back asleep. I got my drains out 1 day after and it didn't hurt at all it was very quick . I showered and started wearing my front closing bra. Over all the pain isn't awful but I'm so uncomfortable all the time almost like someone punched my chest very hard. my throat is so sore from the breathing tube it's hard to breathe. I don't have much of an appetite either , and I haven't gone to the bathroom to do number 2 since the day of my surgery which is resulting in a lot of uncomfy bloating .

I really enjoyed Dr. Mitchell good information made me feel good. Healing and recovery has been only 48 hours so far but surgical team was good. He was very good. Thanks for changing my life. My back issues and my sores will lol be a thing of the past. Your bedside manner was good, making sure I understand procedure getting best margins and markings morning of. I will post pictures once bandages off tomorrow ! Dr. Mitchell knows his stuff I will go to him for future work and refer him to anyone in need good surgeon.

Good draining and swelling is starting took off the abdominal binder for 2 hours this morning bandages are off, no shower yet, waiting give more healing time. Pain and discomfort is at an 8 so still painful but getting better.

Not Only was Dr Mitchell, awesome, but Tina his receptionist/admin was fabulous! Dr Mitchel, was very honest about what he could do for me, and his kindness and easy going manner was delightful! After my surgery, my follow up care was just as awesome! Highly recommend him!

I had a really great experience with my panniculectomy surgery done by Dr. Ryan Mitchell. The way he walked me through the steps and helped me to mentally prepare for the surgery were fantastic. I had a great quick recovery and was back to regular duties within no time. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. Him and his staff were amazing.

He was recommended by my bariatric surgeon. He is returning to our city after a period of work in the US. So far he is a knowledgeable and compassionate. He took nearly an hour to explain the process to my husband and myself. We were able to get a quote quickly and book a time slot for the OR for next month. I will post more as I know more.

Dr. Mitchell fixed my extended scars from a previous tummy tuck. He flattened my tummy more than I could have imagined and gave me a much lower, better looking scar. He called me the night that he did the surgery just to make sure I was feeling ok. I am extremely happy with his work and my flat tummy. He is a Wonderful surgeon in Michigan and worth traveling for!

Outstanding! Beyond expectations! Dr. Mitchell is an amazing artist! Absolutely the best surgery experience EVER! Dr. Ryan Mitchell is very knowledgeable, kind, honest, professional & very personable. The staff are also amazing at the Bengtson Center in Grand Rapids, MI! Get this I had NO PAIN... still! Given the 1st day I took pain meds... just in case... Yet after... nothing. No pain. No meds.
Surgery went as planned. Nothing alarming. He took his time thou. Evidently! Bc I look amazing! My hips are exactly as I asked them to be. Small! And my breasts... Well... Omg! Not sure how he did it but they were dropping. Not now! PERKY Plus bigger! & looks soooo NATURAL! I've had men but more women comment how nice they look & that's with the ugly bra u have to wear after! Totally worth it! Amazing work! He's a very sharply dressed man! Very stylish! Totally La hot! That's why I chose him... he's an artist bc even his exterior reflected this. He's very straight forward & upfront as to what to expect. What he will do and not do. He will not sugar coat anything nor change anything that doesn't need 'fixed'! His work looks natural & apparently likes natural beauty as su h he won't take ur money to change what he feels is good, pretty, beautiful already! I know I tried! Hehe he makes all feel good around him bc truly he's just that nice of a guy.
so there u go. My 1st and only review. Ever! & yes it's glowing bc I couldn't express enough how pleased I am & lucky to have had such an easy surgery! I've had many... mainly do u kids really... Yet I've had my breasts done before... However this is the only surgery that I've walked away... without a DRAIN... plus no pain, complications nor problems. He even makes himself available after surgery.

When I tested positive for the BRCA II breast cancer gene and found out my chance for getting breast cancer was 89%, I knew I had to do something to change that. I decided to have my breasts removed and have reconstruction with silicone implants. My husband and I met with Dr. Ryan Mitchell and liked him right away. We discussed my options and scheduled surgery. I had my surgery Dec 2014. While I have had some setbacks in my treatment, Dr. Mitchell, Nicole and his staff have been with me every step of the way. He has a very caring bed side manner and has kept me comfortable and positive. Hopefully I will complete my reconstruction in December 2015.
