Breast implants removal: Saline implants 200cc through under arms.

You
feel uncomfortable with the implants and want them removed.  However, after the implants are removed, your
breast skin may hang.  One alternative is
to have the implants ruptured.  This can
be done at minimal cost under local anesthesia in the office.  This will give you an idea of what your
breasts will look like after the implants are removed.  If that appears adequate to you then a simple
removal can be done.  If that does not
appear adequate to you then you need a lift. 
The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method.  This technique will reshape your breast
tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on
the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation
and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured by previous

The decision to remove your implants is a personal one. Only you can decide what is the best time for you. If you are unhappy with the appearance, uncomfortable, or have any concerns about your implants, see a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options for removal. Saline implants are not more or less difficult to remove whether they have deflated or not. 

You can choose to have your implants removed at any time.  The implants sound from your description as though they are intact.  They may not ever leak or "break".  If you choose to have the implants removed for health reasons, most women choose to also have the capsules removed.  If so, the procedure would require an incision either under the breast or around the areola.  I recommend visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to learn more.

Only you, after consultation with your surgeon, can decide if you want them removed and when. It is straightforward to remove implants through the old armpit incision and I have done that many times. If you want the capsule removed for some reason, it would need to be done either through a periareolar or inframammary incision.

Removing the implants is a personal choice. They can be removed at any time. Best of luck............

it is unlikely that your headaches are related to your saline implants.  The discomfort,  in cases I've seen where the implants were placed through the axillary (armpits ) the discomfort is conning from the implanT migration  backward toward s the Armpit incision. Many BCPS have abandoned the armpit approach.

It sounds like removing your implants is reasonable.  You say they are uncomfortable and you are concerned if they are causing any symptoms.  It is not likely that they are contributing to your symptoms, but they are a foreign body.   Your doctor may want to remove them through a new incision under the breast rather than through the armpit.  It will at least take the implants out of the equation and let you focus on your health.  Good luck to you.  Dr. Dennis Hammond in your area is an outstanding plastic surgeon and implant specialist.

I would recommend total capsulectomy via a submammary approach unless you need a periareolar lift in order not to exacerbate the immune or neurological symptoms.  I would not recommend until they start to leak as mold contamination is  more likely at that point.  Most surgeons are unaware of the complications seen with retained capsules as they do not understand biofilms and disease.

Breast implants are a cosmetic choice and you can choose to remove them or replace them just because you want to although it's wise to understand the issues and choices. There is no reason to wait for them to fail. They might not ever fail. There is also no medical reason to remove them or replace them at a certain time because they are X number of years old. Further, there is no evidence to support the idea the saline-filled, silicone shell breast implants have any effect on the immune system. The silicone rubber shell is inert and used for many other types of implants. The saline is the same as that run into the veins via an IV. It is not more complicated to remove saline-filled breast implants because they have failed. In your case a simple implant removal can be done under local anesthesia but will require a new approach incision of about 2 cm through the inframammary crease. 

If you are uncomfortable, do it now.  There is no reason to wait as it is a relatively easy procedure with a fast recovery, in most cases.
