These two procedures are technically safe to perform together. However, I would make sure that your rhinoplasty surgeon is very experienced and routinely performs rhinoplasty procedures. Many rhinoplasty procedures involve harvesting cartilage from the ears, and you will want your surgeon to know this prior to beginning your procedure if you are having concomitant otoplasty. With the introduction of cadaveric (donor) cartilage to the market, this has provided another good source of supportive cartilage to the market. This may be an option for you if you want both procedures at the same time but also have a paucity of cartilage.
