My nostrils are asymmetrical. I never noticed until my late 20’s when looking at photos. The base of my nose doesn’t look too crooked from my vantage point. Just wondering what the proper procedure would be and ballpark cost.

Answer: Closed rhinoplasty Dear jch07365, Thankyou for providing pictures for a better recommendation. In my professional opinion, the nostril asymmerty is one of the most difficult deformities to be addressed in rhinoplasty field, because of soft tissue limitations. Consequently rhinoplasty surgery can help to improve the nostrils however, 100% symmetry is not achievable. I am attaching a link for before and after if you would like to look deeper into the procedure and what to expect. Regards, TAS TEAM

Answer: Which procedure would help minimize the appearance of asymmetrical nostrils? You’re correct that the base view of the nose is the least important view from anyone’s vantage point - unless you’re very tall. If your nose overall doesn’t bother you from a functional or cosmetic standpoint, there is no need to do anything. Nostril asymmetry may be from a deviated nasal septum and the decision to repair that would be yours. If you would like to restore nostril symmetry on front view, microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
