I have this bump (not bone because it is not in the bridge) and I wonder what it is. It is kinda soft and you can push it. My rhinoplasty was over a year ago so the swelling is down

It’s either just the shape of your cartilage or it could be a cartilage graft. It’s worth finding out from your surgeon if you had a cartilage graft placed there

Hello! Thank you for your question.As far as I can see from your photos this bump on your nose is cartilage. It is misplaced after the surgery. You need a revision rhinoplasty surgery to fix this bump. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

You need to ask the surgeon what it could be.
Without feeling it, and reading the surgeon's notes and seeing an operative diagram, I can't tell, and even then it might not be possible to know.It might be a graft that is loose, (such as a "spreader graft" that was not sutured securely in place.

The image suggests a cartilage irregularity, most likely from the left upper lateral cartilage. It should be possible to correct this surgically but it is unlikely to improve spontaneously.

I I suggest to discuss your concerns with your surgeon as it may be possible to do this as an office-based intervention depending on how their practice is set up.

Hello. Thank you for the question. It is difficult to say with any certainty what this is based only off of the photo. Your surgeon will be the best person to identify what this is. There are many possible causes of a residual bump following rhinoplasty. It could be scar tissue, a piece of cartilage or a cartilage graft. I would recommend seeing your surgeon to get a more definitive answer as to what this is. Good luck!

Only on the basis of in person examination it can be decided what kind of bump that is. It may, most likely, be a deep scar or irregularities of soft tissue underneat; possibly bone dust surrounded with scar, cartilage? Evaluation by your surgeon would be the best starting point. Injection of corticosteroid may help to soften and diminish the bulk of lesion. Good luck.

Without knowing what exactly was done during your rhinoplasty, it would be difficult to know what the bump is.  If you had cartilage placed to support the nasal passage or add length, the cartilage could have shifted or become bent.  Sometimes, smashed cartilage or tissue may be added to the nose to smoothen irregularities or add to the height of the dorsum.  This could have moved, creating an isolated bump.  I would recommend seeing your surgeon who would know what he did during your surgery and be able to better guide you on the cause and how to fix it.

From your photo, I note an apparent fullness of the lateral external nasal wall at the middle 1/3 of the nose.. This may represent a spicule of residual bone or cartilage lying free within the soft tissue or displacement at the upper lateral cartilage / nasal bone junction.
One may consider a revisional rhinoplasty. 15% of cosmetic surgeries may benefit from a secondary touch-up procedure.
Revisit your plastic surgeon for reevaluation and discussion.
