I’m considering a rhinoplasty to fix my uneven/semi droopy nostrils and to make my tip smaller/more defined/ feminine - does it seem like this is possible with a closed rhinoplasty? I’d like to avoid long recovery time and scars. (Photos shown I have some chin swelling due to an implant)

Answer: Closed Rhinoplasty Hello! Thanks for the photos and questions. You can perform different rhinoplasty techniques through a closed approach. Patients often worry about the scar at the columella. If done well, it tends to heal inconspicuously long-term. I find the open approach to be superior due to the ability to fully visualize the underlying structures and be very precise with the changes that should be made. Swelling does vary between the two with the open approach leading to more. Refining the tip through a closed approach is possible. I find nostril asymmetry to be more challenging that way. Hope this helps!
