Please advise. I have a short haircut here (3mm and 6mm higher)
Answer: Hair Transplant Thanks for the question. Based on your photos, the 4000-6000 grafts might be good option for you, but it would be wrong to say something for sure. You should see a board certified surgeon. You can then plan the process together and discuss the results. I wish you all the best.

Answer: Donor Area Grafts Generally, the donor area can supply between 5,000 to 8,000 grafts for a hair transplant surgery. It would be a good idea to consult with a doctor near you in order to get a more detailed estimate.

Answer: Estimate of Maximum Graft Harvest in Your donor area Dear Sereja_dd,Thank you for posting your question and photo on realself.com. To give an estimate with confidence, I would need to see you in person. While I can see what appears to be average density at the back of your scalp, donor area can extend to the sides of your head. The size of your head can also be a variable on the size of the donor area. If FUT is also being considered, scalp laxity needs to be evaluated and graded as well. These factors and the varying density per square centimeter along your entire donor area need to be measured. 2,500 grafts in a single session and perhaps up to 3,800 depending on the variables presented. A hybrid procedure could provide an even greater yield. I hope this is helpful. Warm Regards,Bernardino Arocha, MD, FISHRS
