If you always had a high forehead, then it would not be considered a receding hairline. If you want to address the high forehead you may want to see a doctor for possible surgical options,
Dear dakotab16,You can fix this problem, and it can be achieved in more than one way and to varying degrees as well. If you were to be satisfied with halting further loss, then medical treatments could be the answer. You can choose Rogaine, Propecia, Laser and PRP treatment. These can be used in combination to potentially obtain a level of regrowth which may be satisfying. However, getting hair to regrow in the front tends to be a more difficult task. If you did medical treatment a fair goal would be minimal improvement. If you want to really make an impact, then you need to consider hair transplantation. Ideally in combination with one or more of the previously mentioned options. The more hair transplanted the better it gets; is how many of my patients feel about their results. Therefore, depending on your medical history, donor area, etc, I would recommend 2,500-3,000 grafts to the front. If you don't need it full looking then 1,500-2,000 will give a meaningful improvement.
A great first step would be an online consultation. Often you can submit photos to top hair restoration surgeons for a complimentary evaluation. This should help lead you in the right direction. Having multiple consultations with different doctors cannot hurt.
Yes, your hiarline is receding and this may make you a good candidate for hair transplants, not a hairline lowering surgery
Hi. Thank you for your Question. You are a great candidate for a hair transplant. We perform NeoGraft here in our practice. There is NO incision (called the strip technique). No Scarring, no pain, no surgery, no downtime with natural results. All performed under local anesthesia where you are alert and comfortable. I highly recommend you research the NeoGraft procedure. Best of luck to you.
A hair transplant is the only permanent solution to your receding hairline problem. Number oft grafts required to reconstruct your hairline can vary from 2500-3000 depending on the hairline design that you may choose. You could use a combination of hair loss solutions like Rogaine, Propecia or PRP to arrest the hair loss at this stage and perhaps promote growth as well.
Hair growth starts following an initial lull after transplantation. Transplanted follicles usually undergo a phase called “Telogen”. This is the resting phase in hair cycle and it lasts from 1 to 4 months. In certain cases the onset of growth is relatively slow which is why we give a dose of PR...
Hey there,4 months is quite a long time after hair transplant. You can comb however you want and in any direction. You can treat your hair normally like before, there is no need to worry.Hope this helps
You cannot "replace" a grey hair with a black hair. Even if you could, the black hair may later turn grey.
