Flu like symptoms are describe in association with cosmetic botulinum toxin treatment including the product Dysport. It makes up about 2% of all adverse symptoms. We definitely believe that for some people this is an actual adverse reaction to the product. Where it gets confusing is that in these big studies a similar percentage will experience flu like symptoms that are actually due to flus and colds that are completely unrelated to the treatment. So perhaps you are suffering from some Dysport related symptoms or perhaps, you are just having a cold after treatment that is completely unrelated.

Your symptoms are much morelikely to be related to the cold and flu viruses that have been runningrampant lately.

It doesn't have anything to do with Dysport and is mere coincidence that is came on after your treatment. It's just a winter cold. Iopodine is most commonly prescribed for this purpose but alphagan also works on the same mechanism. The reason we generally recommend Iopodine is historic. That is what was originally used. If the Alphagan is not effective, then it is also likely that the Iopodine will not be...
