Tomorrow is my surgery and my doctor wants me to have 350cc's and I am NOT very satisfied with that number I'm wanting more like 450cc for a small D look . Am I allowed to just flat out refuse what he says and just get my way or is he allowed to flat out refuse what I request? his main concern is that it's not going to fit in my muscle pocket he says I have a small frame. But I went to other consultations with other doctors and no one else said that would be an issue. I don't want to be unsatisfied with what I'm paying my money for. someone please respond please help me

Answer: Right to refuse As the patient, you have all right to refuse what your surgeon recommends, however please note that the surgeon also has the same right to refuse what the patient requests, and this is based on their medical expertise. Your surgeon probably thinks that your result will not be satisfying for you and perhaps even cause undue problems, such as a longer recovery rate. If you do not like what your surgeon is saying, then you have the option of going with one of the other surgeons who said it was okay. Best of luck.

Answer: Size disagreement My doctor wants me to have 350 cc, but I want 450 cc. Am I allowed to refuse his recommendation and get the size I want? This is difficult to answer without seeing the photos or examining you in person. Here are some general suggestions:1. focus on choosing your plastic surgeon wisely, ask questions and tell him/her about your goals and desires.2. Make sure you have a good communication with him/her.3. use in office tools such as implant in bras, try them and computer imaging can also be helpful.Best wishesDr Sajjadian

Answer: My doctor wants me to have 350 cc, but I want 450 cc. Am I allowed to refuse his recommendation and get the size I want? Hello! Thank you for your question! You should certainly discuss your concerns and desires with your surgeon. With an elective aesthetic procedure such as a breast augmentation, or any procedure for that matter, a trust and understanding is certainly required from both parties. Your surgeon should also serve to inform you of the risks and benefits of the procedure as well as help YOU to decide which is the right decision for YOU after discussion of everything that s/he can offer. It is your decision to decide who you will enter that agreement with, and vice versa. If you do not feel comfortable, consult with others and choose the one you feel most comfortable with who will meet your expectations. Hope that this helps! Best wishes!
