Are 3 weeks after FUE hair transplantation enough to play Ice Hockey?

The short answer is yes, you can wear a hockey helmet and play as hard as you like 3 weeks after an FUE procedure. Remember to wear at least an eye shield, and keep your stick on the ice, especially in front of the net. Skate with your head up, and keep the shifts short. If you’re playing defense, remember to pinch in only when you’re sure. If you’re playing forward, remember to cover for your D when they take the puck up the ice. Have fun! Ask your doctor if you are concerned about playing ice hockey 3 weeks after surgery.  It should be "ok", but always keep your doctor in the loop.  

In many ways, the answer is easy : check with your surgeon and follow his or her adviceAs a Canadian, I have many many patients who resume playing hockey post FUE. 3 weeks has never been a problem!

Usually you have to be completely healed before returning to contact sport. I advise my clients to wait around four weeks to play the contact sport but it is a good idea to check with your doctor first. 

I tell patients to baby their recipient area for one month post surgery.  Three weeks is right on the cusp. Play carefully and remember that any injury to your recipient area can compromise your results. 

I place no limitations on a patient 3 weeks after an FUe provided that all of the crusts are off of the frontal hairline where the recipient sites are. Play carefully, of course.
