I‘ve had restylane before and it didn’t migrate. The new doctor however likes to work with stylage. I know that stylage is less viscous & I wanted to know weather this may cause it to migrate more easily.
Answer: Depending on the area, not all fillers are the best for all areas of the face Filler migration, swelling, and granulomas can cause significant discomfort and cosmetic ramifications. Our office specializes in the use of enzymes and filler reversal techniques without hyaluronidase to help improve the results of botched cosmetic fillers, whether caused by Juvederm, Restylane, or foreign fillers. Our plastic surgery institute provides expertise in filler removal. We begin by examining the facial fillers and assessing the likelihood of fluctuance or liquid volumization. If appropriate, we use Hylenex, or other filler reversal agents to reduce swelling and filler migration. Hylenex can be targeted into the areas of concern using multiple layered injection techniques. If the filler does not completely resolve, then additional concentrations may be employed. The technique has the potential to reduce the filler and may slightly impact normal hyaluronic acid. Treatments are repeated and results can improve immediately and with time. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Migration Hello and thanks for your question. To be honest migration is more about the way the filler is injected than the product itself. Its important you stick to well known brands of filler with a good range of clinical research behind them. Always go to a qualified and experienced practitioner for any injectable treatment, best wishes

Answer: Filler migration shouldn't happen No filler should migrate if it is administered by an experienced, board-certified dermatologist with expertise in lip filler techniques. My advice is to make sure the doctor you work with has the appropriate qualifications to perform the treatment. This is the best way to ensure you results are both natural and beautiful.

Answer: Lip filler migration: prevention and correction. Hi, Thanks for your question. Without pictures it is not possible to give a right/definitive answer. In aesthetic medicine, complications could happen but the most important is how to prevent/reduce or correct them e.g.dissolve the filler (if required) and re-filled them. My approach is an accurate “static” and “dynamic” lips assessment and a bespoke treatment with a “combined technique with needle and cannula” using a specific dermal filler according to the age, skin tone, and the expectations , inject the appropriate dose and in the right place in order to restore the tone and definition of the lips, improve fullness and hydration and finally providing a natural-looking results. I suggest to make a consultation with an experienced aesthetic doctor in lips anatomy and treatments for a detailed assessment in order to consider the right approach including for example dissolving the filler (if required) and re-filled them. Hope this helps, Best Wishes, Dr Giuseppe Fiore, MD

Answer: Migration of filler No filler should migrate if it is administered by a very experienced, board-certified dermatologist. My advice is to focus more on the skills and training of the doctor performing the procedure, rather than the filler used. If you are working with a qualified provider, your physician will be able to choose the best filler product for your needs and goals.
