Would a genioplasty or double jaw surgery deliver my desired results? Goal is a more square face (photos)

Question

My bite is perfect, my I definitely see a problem in my side profile, I feel like my whole lower jaw is set back and it goes down instead of up. I would like to have a more square lower face but mine seems long, only from the side profile, I think that my chin is vertically long but horizontally short, what should i do ?

Thank you for your pictures.  In my opinion, a sliding Genioplasty would be beneficial for you.  Jaw surgeries correct both the bones and the bite.  Your x-ray reveals that your upper and lower jaw bones as well as your teeth are in a good position.  I hope this is helpful.

You are a good candidate for a genioplasty. This procedure would bring your chin forward, to better balance out your side profile. Like you mentioned, you have good height in your chin, but it does fall short from the side (we call this a retrusive chin). This is a permanent procedure that would give your chin the definition you are looking for.

It appears from the photos that you would benefit from a sliding genioplasty. I don't think that you need double jaw surgery. The height of your chin can be changed if the cephalometric x-ray shows that your out of the range of normal for a female.

You can have "double jaw surgery" or sliding genioplasty to improve things, for sure. Or, for a quicker and much easier recovery, can consider just a chin implant.  That is a reversible and easy way to get a substantial improvement.
