What treatment would be best for my deep labiomental fold? (Photos)

Question

I have a very deep fold and a round chin. I had a surgeon recommend injecting fat into the fold however I’m worried my chin will just look big and stick out more. There is about half a cm of fat on top of my chin bone so maybe that can be reduced to give a more flat appearance too? I Any recommendations that I should look into will be great. The last photo attatched is a sort of desired outcome. Thanks :)

I would look into having a genioplasty! This is a permanent procedure that would add length to the bottom of your face, creating more facial balance. It would create a stronger jawline and softer chin. A genioplasty would improve the labiomental fold, decreasing the shadowing you have under your lips. They also have specific implants that can be placed  to decrease the fold as well.

A deep mentolabial fold usually indicates that the chin is short in the vertical dimension. Treatment for this is a vertically lengthening genioplasty. You would likely benefit from submental and jawline liposuction as well to improve the contours of the mandible.

your lower jaw is underdeveloped and ideally a combination of orthodontics and jaw surgery will naturally balance the area. However, a simpler approach is a vertical lengthening genioplasty with any adjustment of the profile view/projection is the answer. Quite common. Ask a Maxillofacial Surgeon
