I havehad several consultations with doctors — the subject of double jaw surgery has been raised but I have been advised against it. I am an open mouth sleeper which has clearly affected my facial structure, but I do not have sleep apnea and I am told my case is not severe enough for the jaw surgery. What has been recommended is a sliding genioplasty with genioglossus advancement to open the airway slightly. would this be an improvement aesthetically?
