Dysport masseter and cheek filler complications 1 year later - what else can I do to fix this? (photos)

About a year ago I had my masseters treated with dysport (50u each side) and filler in my cheeks with 1 ml each side. she had hit the wrong muscle doing my masseters which had then made my right side of my face collapse and my cheek filler migrate into 2 big lumps closer to my nose (very noticeable when smiling) it’s been well over a year of trying to fix the issue and my right cheek is still not 100% and is pulling into my eye and looks collapsed on that side. What else can I do to fix this?

Hello, and thank you for your question. I’m sorry you’re experiencing issues with your treatments. Injectable results are only temporary –Dysport effects only last for up to 4 months, while filler results fade within a year. If a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler (e.g., Juvederm and Restylane) was used, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Once all effects have worn off and your muscles regain their strength, you may notice better symmetry and may receive additional treatments.

I recommend seeing your provider for a proper assessment and further care. In the future, only seek treatments from a reputable, experienced injector. Such experts can select the most appropriate product for your needs, select the right dilution of that product, determine the right dosage to inject, know the ideal placement of injections for a natural-looking appearance, and they would be able to recognize and deal with complications that might arise.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you experienced since your Dysport and filler treatment.  After one year the Dysport should have worn off completely.  The filler that remains can be dissolved using hyaluronidase as long as HA fillers were used (Juvederm, Restylane, etc).  See your provider for further information.

Thank you for your question.  I’m sorry that the outcome of your procedure hasn’t been successful .  I would suggest that the muscle weakness will return to normal once it regains it strength. 
It may be wise to dissolve your filler wait until symmetry returns when smiling and then re inject your cheeks.
