I am 3 weeks post op and I am no longer taking my pain killers but I have still been taking my valium. Is this good to continue to do? I am starting to get paranoid that maybe if I take valium too long that I may be over relaxing my muscles and it will make my implants drop too low? Is this a thing or am I just being paranoid?

Answer: Valium after breast augmentation Many surgeons who do submuscular breast augmentation use a muscle relaxant medication like valium. This lessens post op muscle spasm which allows for less pain meds and allows the implants to fall without the muscle spasm displacing them up as easily. Most of my patients only need it for 5-7 days, but a few for awhile longer. Discuss with your surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Valium Thanks for your inquiry, I am not sure I have heard of valium causing the implants to drop too low. It is best for your discuss your muscle spasm options with your plastic surgeon, good luck.
